- Lemme run this down: -You had a T-Mobile to Go phone. -You don't want a monthly bill -You are concerned with how much it will cost you for a Sidekick. Now, to the answer. Okay, first, you need the Sidekick, because it is kind of hard to make the switch from a regular T-Mobile to Go phone to a Sidekick to Go. It'll cost you $400 to get a Sidekick 3 for To-Go, if you choose to buy it direct from T-Mobile. But you may have some tough luck to get a Sidekick, even a Sidekick II for under $250, even on OKorder. Sometimes the bids go really high, but you can try! The Sidekick to Go plan is simple - you get all of the Sidekick services (ie; IM, TXTing, Email, Web Browsing) for $1/day (regardless of whether you use it or not) and 15 cents a minute for calling people. For a monthly plan, it can cost $30/month without minutes, or get the Add-on and you have minutes with a $20 extra charge for sidekick data. - It just means you're connecting to an ATT tower instead of to a T-Mobile one. Sometimes that happens because there's an issue with the T-Mobile tower and your phone can't connect to it. (Like if they're working on it right then or it's just busted, which seems to happen often.) If it's giving you better service, that's awesome, so don't bother to ask T-Mobile to put you back on their towers (tech support can do that I think). Roaming on other towers is included on T-Mobile so it's not going to affect your bill at all.

There are no fees if you cancel or don't pay your bill. Your service would be terminated and your account will be closed. So after that you can just sell your phone. When the person buys your used phone they would have to reactivate the phone and have a new phone number and account.
