Q:Can thread be placed on carpet? ? ?
You'd better not put, in case of leakage, it will cause a fire
Q:We've lived in our house for almost two years and have the most annoying rug in the living room. It sheds constantly and it's like having a pet! I'm getting really sick of it as don't like putting my baby son down on the floor to play as he ends up covered in white fibres and if they get on his hands, they're in his mouth! No amount of vacuuming seems to help. I'm thinking about getting a new rug, but worried about spending a fortune only to have the same problem again! Does anyone know any types of rug that won't shed? I've read that wool ones are the worst... any general rug advice appreciated!!!
Synthetics like nylon and polyester do not shed. If you look for a rug or carpet that has a long period of wear warranty, that is likely the kind that doesn't shed. That type of rug may have other issues, like less resiliency, but if shedding is the concern, go for synthetic.
Q:What carpet is good for office?
A color don't want to spend,
Q:What type of rugs do you need for a horse? And when and why do you use them? Thanks
I use a 1200D winter blanket with extra insulation on cold days, and a 600D winter blanket with regular insulation all day, every day, beginning february to start help them shedding out. He also get's a hood, but it gets checked and adjusted several times/day as they can become a hazard. During summer days, my horse get's a fly scrim with UV protection, and a night he get's a polar fleece rug with double front enclosures and crossunder belly straps (which becomes a royal pain to keep clean, but it keeps him warm and cozy at night.) After showers or getting sweaty, he get's a square polar fleece sheet that just loops on the halter and in front of the neck. Rainy/drizzly days he gets a water proof turnout, and on cold rainy days he gets the polar fleece underneath the water proof turnout. I get lots of rugs and sheets and blankets from reining, so he has quite a variety for all weather conditions. For other horses that don't get checked several times throughout the day, I would suggest not blanketing unless necessary. A lot can go wrong with blankets, and horses are always getting in trouble haha
Q:Basically, my dad washed the rug with laundry detergent. But he put it in an area to dry, where there is no sunlight. So it didn't dry all the way and ended up creating this mildew smell on it. I decided to wash it again, but this time with a solution called Fiber Cleansing, that is used to fight stains on carpets. And I vacuumed the rug with a wet/dry vacuum to get all the water out of it. I got most of it out, but still had a smell to it. So I decided to pour a box of baking soda all over it, to get the smell out of it. (What the internet told me to do) After leaving the baking soda on there for 2 days, still nothing. The rug itself is pretty dry now, still a bit damp on the underside of it. It still smells. What can I do?
Forget the bleach and any other solutions given. Re launder the rug but this time add 1/3 cup bicarb soda and 1/3 cup white vinegar to the wash and 1/3 cup white vinegar to the rinse. Both of these will absorb the odour and the white vinegar will kill any mould/mildew. Make sure the rug is dried where there is an airflow, even if there is no sunlight, but sunlight is good. The trick is to make sure the rug dries as quickly as possible and a good airflow helps this happen Re what you did with the baking powder..... the rug needed to be dry first. As it was still damp the mildew was still growing. Sprinkling bicarb soda on a dry rug that has an odour will absorb the odour. I promise, if you follow the instructions, the above will work. that
Q:I've seen stainmaster carpet, and I was wondering which type of carpet resists stains the best. I'm redoing the carpet in a dining room, and my cats continually pee on the carpet in this room, so I need a robust carpet. Thanks!
I have Stainmaster ... and I have 3 dogs and a cat. My carpet is not yet 4 years old, and it is destroyed. Stainmaster isn't worth the time it takes to type the word. OK, the truth is ... if a stain is just on the surface, and you catch it and clean it RIGHT AWAY ... yes, you can usually get it out. However, if it soaks through, forget it. You may be able to get most of the visible stain out, but the smell? No way. If you could replace your carpet with Pergo, tile, anything BUT carpet, I'd recommend it. If, however, you do want to use carpet, I'd look into commercial-grade carpet. That's the stuff used in department stores, restaurants, offices, etc. Not too luxurious, but pretty tough. It is a very tight carpet ... most wet stains and spills will wipe up. And it can be vigorously scrubbed without damaging it. If you buy a carpet with an allover pattern, in a medium-to-dark tone, it will better hide the stains than one that is a solid color, especially a light color.
Q:I live with my husband and our toddler son in a decent sized three bedroom apartment, but I am having a little problem...our carpet is looking very sad. It is smushed down in higher traffic areas and I am not sure how to revive it. I vacuum regularly, and I also clean it monthly with my upright shampooer, but it isn't really helping. Any suggestions?
Maybe using the shampooer on it so often is taking the life out of your carpet. It's good to use once in awhile, but I think a regular vacuuming would do the job. As for getting your carpet perked back up- there are attachments you can buy- some look like rakes and it will plush the carpet back up (it will only work if you have plush carpeting).
Q:We have an area rug over a carpet, no rubber underlaying, it's just a rug over a carpet. The rug is starting to curl/crease/wrinkle in the middle. Why is that? It was a fairly cheap rug. Is that why? Or because we have nothing under it but carpet? Something else?
I am not sure what is wrong with it but my brother was having that problem and he decided to place it exactly where he wanted it and then he used a nail gun and tacked it down on the 4 corners and it has been a great resolution. Try it out!
Q:Where to buy brown zebra rug online? I really like zebra design.Do you have any idea where to buy it.Expecting your valuable suggestions and opinons.
