Q: My current tires are 195/70/14, I will be getting 205/55/16. My current tire PSI is 32. What will my new tire pressure be?
There should be a sticker from the car manufacturer. It will be on the drivers side door jamb or in the glove box. It lists the recommended tire pressure for that particular car. This pressure will give you the best performance and handling on your particular car. The rear tire pressure is normally 2-3 PSI lower than the front tires. It will also give you different PSI ratings for if you have anyone in the back seat or stuff in the trunk. (This would require a slightly higher PSI in the rear to make up for the added weight.) The PSI number on the sidewall of any tire is a MAXIMUM PSI that should be put into that tire. Since you are going from a 14 inch tire to a 16 inch tire, it might throw off the car manufacturers number. You are going from a 70 series to a 55 series also though. This should almost even out the difference in 14-16. The main factor is probably the 195 to the 205. As long as you don't get any rubbing when turning the wheel all the way left or right, the tires should be fine on your car. You could always ask the dealer which pressure. I wouldn't go by what the guys at the tire store say though. Every time I have ever bought tires, they put all of them at 32-34 PSI. (Some tire shops have different ideas of what the ideal tire PSI is.)
Q: Honda CMX250 Tire Change out?
It would probably be best to find a motorcycle tire size converter. I bet Mr. Google can find one for you in less than 1 second.
Q: Are you tired?
I've had trouble sleeping since I started dating again in Feb
Q: What is the best car tires?
Not the best tires, only the best ranked tire brand. When Michelin is a F1 sponsor, it is the boss of the tire industry, and Bridgestone is second, and now Bridgestone is a sponsor of F1, of course, it has become the tire industry boss, Michelin Second, from the world's top 500 ranking can be seen), if the super sports car tire brand, of course, Pirelli best, like Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and some sports cars are selected Pirelli.
Q: what is the deal with rain tires? why arent they using them in japan? are they only for road courses?
Rain tires are never used on ovals. Even with the best rain tires in the world the speeds are too high and the forces to great to generate any grip on a wet oval.
Q: Might be a stupid question but im just trying to find out what my next set of tires will be and im looking at off road tires between 33 and 35,im currently running 33s.Im pretty sure I know what it is,but instead of making my self look like a jackass when im wrong I figured I would ask.
If you sleep buff, you should always have slippers and a robe handy just in case. Lay them by your bed so you won't scare the survivors to death.
Q: What is the standard for car tires?
The tires are rounded elastomeric rubber products that are grounded on various vehicles or mechanically assembled. Usually installed on a metal rim, can support the body, cushion the impact of the outside world, to achieve contact with the road and to ensure that the vehicle's tire is often used in complex and harsh conditions, it is driving a variety of deformation, load, High and low temperature effect, it must have a high bearing capacity, traction performance, buffer performance. At the same time, also requires high wear resistance and flex resistance, as well as low rolling resistance and heat generation. Half of the world's consumption of rubber for tire production, visible tire consumption of rubber capacity.
Q: is ther a reason car and truck tire are black? if another color would they remain that color?
Why are Tires Black? Left alone, tires dry out, discolor and eventually crack and split. “Dry rot” is a multi-million dollar problem for RVers, trailer boaters and owners of classic cars that are parked for extended periods. The major factor degrading tires and other synthetic and rubber products is ozone, an odorless gas which is part of the air we breath. When combined with ultraviolet light (the invisible part of sunlight) a reaction occurs that attacks the tire polymer. To protect against ozone and UV damage, a stabilizer molecule called a “competitive absorber” is blended with the tire polymer. Competitive absorbers work by capturing and absorbing UV radiation and converting it to heat which is dissipated harmlessly. All tire manufacturers use the same competitive absorber, carbon black. This is why all tires are black...why tires are not available in designer colors. These absorbers are sacrificial; they expend themselves in performing their function of changing UV to heat. As carbon black loses it’s ability to perform, it turns gray. This is one reason why black tires discolor as they age. To protect from further ozone damage, tire manufacturers add a wax compound to their formulas. Tires flex when they are in motion, causing the wax molecules to migrate to the surface. This forms a protective barrier between the air (ozone and oxygen) and the tire polymer. In the tire trade this is called “blooming”. When tires are parked for extended periods, blooming does not occur and ozone starts attacking the polymer. With UV light and ozone working in concert, the degradation is accelerated, resulting in drying, discoloration and cracking. The best product we know of to retard ozone and UV damage is 303 Aerospace Protectant. A quick spray of 303 Protectant leaves tires looking great and protects them with the equivalent of an SPF 40 sunscreen.
Q: A few months back, we had all four tires changed out at Just Tires. We blew out the driver tire just before Christmas and went to a different facility to buy a new one. We were told there that they could not replace that single one because the rest of the tires were of a lower speed rating than specified (in the door, it tells you apparently). My question is, is Just Tires liable for any of this? We of course didn‘t know at the time that we were driving on tires of a lower speed rating but we want to go back to Just Tires and see what they can do. Help!
Did you drive over the speed rating of the tires? If the car specifies say 130 mph tires, and someone fitted 120 mph tires, they should still be safe UNLESS you drive over 120 mph If you never drove over 100 mph, then the lower speed rating has ZERO effect on why the tire blew out. And if you make a habit of driving over 100 mph, then YOU need to check the rating and condition of your tires yourself. Now the second tire shop may not sell you that tire for your car for legal reasons. People bring lawsuits for all sorts of frivolous reasons. like their new tires aren't the EXACT correct spec. But, you could go back to the original company and discuss the matter. Looking at the tire should give some clue as to WHY it blew out. If it's got a freaking big nail or cut in it, then that's just bad luck. If there is no obvious reason for the tire failing, then maybe it was faulty and you are owed a replacement?
Q: I‘m tired of stupidity.
Loser can't talk for a month.
