They are worthless in mud, snow and terrible on the street. My speedometer was incorrect because of the height of the tire and I got a ticket. Gas mileage was worse and the noise was awful. Use the recommended tires on your truck. If you are going for looks put on what ever you want. But if you want performance use a recomended size radial tire, with a slightly more aggressive tread design. These tires will drive circles around a truck with big all terrain tires and you will be happy on the road which is 99% of the time anyway.

- if the tires uniformly worn you could assume the tread wear rating is pretty low and the tires just tend to wear out quickly.(for performances sake). Tirerack lists 6 different Turanza tires (size 205/55-16-are these the size on your car ?)all of which have a treadware rating of 300 which i would estimate having to be good for 20-25k miles. If the tires wear unevenly i would think there is an underlying mechanical problem. I bet if you replace the tires and a mechanical problem exists the new tires regardless of what type they are will wear unevenly too. I would watch the tread wear closely as the new tires wear. Keep it aligned, keep your recepts and ask BMW (after the new tires start to wear unevenly too) How could 2 sets of tires both wear unevenly with good alignment and no mechanical problems-like a bad strut ? Makes you wonder why the rear tires aren't screwed up too-I would guess they were from the same batch of tires as both of the fronts. Good Luck!!!!!!! .

- Thin Tyres are actually their aspect ratio, in technical terms. They have a very low profile Tyre-wall,i.e., their side height. That gives them enough Cornering and handling to support the in-built Electronic PowerSteering. In a nutshell, Low Profile Better rigidity of tyre, resulting in better handling! But these tyres offer low comfort levels, that's why they are not used in general all-purpose cars. But Rally cars have tuned-suspensions, which make these tyres feasible to use in performance standards.

- I think Yokohamas are better tires. You get what you pay for with alignment. Read the small print. You should get front and rear alignment at the same time. $60 is a bargain if that's front and rear. When they check your alignment you will see that your wheels are nor aligned anymore. Every pothole and speedbump you've hit over the years has messed with the alignment. You will get better tire wear and driveability with the wheels aligned.
- Q: I HAVE A 2003 INFINITY G35 SEDAN. MY CAR USES 215/55/17TIRES. CAN I STEP TO A 245/55/17. OR HOW CAN I GET A LOW PROFILE TIRE WITH GOOD HANDALING.
- I'd be concerned with clearance going that much wider. It'll be a little taller as well. eg. 55% of 245 mm instead of 55% of 215mm
