- It's worth it. Microfiber is really comfortable. at rooms to go there is a couch or 699 that isn't microfiber! So thats a good price.
- Q: I have 2 small children and 2 cats. The cats (whom I have not declawed because they are indoor/outdoor), have tore up each corner of both my sofa loveseat while using them as a scratching post. There have also been a few accidents while changing my baby's diapers on the sofa. So I pan to get them cleaned and then slipcover them both. But there are a few styles of clipcovers ~ snug/hug fit, relaxed fit that hangs, and then a combo of both. I have noticed that the combo fit (the latest style) is most attractive. The problem here is that the snug area of this cover is on the exact spots that my cats used to scratch. I am thinking that they will be able to get their claws into this as well. And if they can, they will as they have done the same to every corner of every mattress in the house. So lets say I go for the relaxed fit, is there any suggestions of what I should look for? Any problems with certain ones? Am I wrong about the snug fit being a continual issue with the cats? Thanx!
- I like the stretch kind. They fit so much better. The cats are another problem. We just lost our 23 year old last month. You will have to retrain them. I used clear packing tape on the corners. She didn't like the feel. Matter of fact she found another piece to scratch. More tape. Good luck!
- Q: Moving on sat, my room is going to be considerably smaller so i was thinking of just getting a futon instead of a smaller bed so i can have more room when im not sleeping. Looking for one that is comfy and looks good. (Comfort is the main concern but if it looks good too, thats a bonus.) Not looking to spend an arm and a leg, but i gotta do what i gotta do. Thanks
- Futons are great space savers but not really practical for every day use and the cushions never stay in place properly when you use it as a sofa. Plus they can be a bit low. If you can cut back on other stuff you want to buy then invest what you save in buying as good a sofa bed as you can. Much nicer to sit on and some can be folded away with the bedding in place so you don't need to find room to store the pillows and duvet.
- Q: I'm trying to find new covers for this sofa but I don't know the make of it so it's proving very tough....It's creamy yellow, has buttoned up removable covers, the buttons run up the center of it's back and it has some on it's front at the base, it measures 92cm deep, 205cm wide and 75cm high. - I would venture to guess that it's a custom slipcover. If you don't see tags on the inside of it and it fits like a glove then my thinking is probably accurate. As for the sofa. Under the sofa should be information...Stamped to the wood or on a label as to the origin of the sofa...Have a look.

- Yes, a sofa table is a great way to liven up a room, though as others have said, it's best to add one in the same style as the rest of your furniture. A classic sofa table is quite tall, though lower than the back of your sofa, quite long, but shorter than your sofa, and not very wide. Sofa tables look great with lamps on, if there's nowhere you can plug these in, use a pair of candlesticks or some matching ornament, and put flowers in a low vase in the middle. Many people find a desk is just the right height and length to use as a sofa table, and if you want one in your living room, behind the sofa can be a very good place to put one. An alternative is a low bookcase. You get storage on the shelves for ornaments and/or books, and a surface to display your flowers, lamps and other ornaments.
- Q: I brought home a new microsuede sofa, and didn't even think about the static problem, until my 3-year old daughter sat down on it. (Her baby fine hair, looked like she had a finger in an electrical socket!) She's been crying since, because she's been shocking herself, and I'm wondering what would be the best thing to do. - static guard will work just fine ,if you're worried about glops hold a paper towel under the actuator to catch them -spray the carpet below too -it actually happens from the plastic it comes wrapped in . Poor baby! spray that thing soon! good luck to you your sofa and mostly your little one.
- Q: The living room set I like does not come with a recliner or chair, and I'd really like at least 6 seats. I'm either thinking about 2 loveseats and a sofa or 2 sofas and a loveseat. I haven't seen any living room or pictures with either of these arrangements, so I thought I'd ask around to get some opinions.
- No, it will not look stupid. You need to have a pretty large room though. I would use the two love seats with the sofa rather than the two sofas and loveseat. Measure your area and if you need to visually see the placement, cut some paper or cardboard to size. Or, even masking tape. And, your chairs do not have to match the sofa. Can you pick out chairs to coordinate with the sofa? The arm style doesn't even have to match. For instance, an English arm sofa will blend with a roll arm chair. Just keep your pieces in similar style. If you have a solid sofa, you could use print chairs. If you have a fabric sofa, you could use leather recliners, etc. Look through some magazines or, you could even check out some sites like: www rbis photography or www.istockphoto. Search interior design or living rooms. They have 1000's of photos.
