What are the materials?
Our rattan furniture is woven by hand with environment-friendly PE rattan on strong powder-coated metal or aluminum structure with soft cushions and pillows. The cushions are usually replaceable and washable.

- It's okay to turn the fire off if you stick his hand in hot water first. I hear it can cause uh...great embarassment to someone if you stick his hand in hot water while he's sleeping.
- Q: I have oil heat, with forced air.. We have, what we believe to be, is an air intake vent on the floor.. no heat comes out so we think it just pulls air in. Can I put a sofa over it? There is like an inch or two of clearance from the bottom of the sofa to the floor.
- Putting the sofa over the intake may hinder the intake a bit, but as long as it is not blocked completely, air is getting in, so I think you are fine.

- It looks medium brown in the picture so you could use a tan, beige, dark brown, any pattern on a sofa that has this color somewhere in it. This is a fairly neutral color so you have a wide variety to choose from.

- Hmm i doubt you are allergic to the leather from the sofa. In my opinion it would most likely be from the newly fitted carpet. There are different types out there, and some are well known to affect asthma sufferers (even if you dont have asthma the small fibres can affect your breathing). If i were you i would go see your doc and book a full allergy screening before you make any hasty decisions.

- I would worry if I didn't get to sit/lie on it first...some leather is uncomfortable, you know? And if your husband if you are married thinks the couch doesn't suit his bod you never hear the end of it for years and years, lol. I got my 2 from a company twin to Ethan Allen and they are great but some of them I tried there looked good but felt yucky. Leather lasts forever, what is $200 more over 7 years? I am usually frugal about most things but not furniture.
- Q: I've had dark blue upholstered sofas and black dogs for years with no problems. The dogs shed, but it doesn't show up on the sofas. However I recently rescued an English Mastiff and she's got light hair, which shows up really bad against the dark colors. It's pretty much impossible to vacuum it completely from the upholstery.I'm going to get new sofas soon because the sofa and loveseat are my college furniture and they are wearing out. I was thinking about chocolate brown leather so that the dog hair wouldn't adhere to the fabric, but dogs' claws can scratch those really easily, right?Are there any other options that would look nice? A fabric that dog hair wouldn't adhere to and dog claws wouldn't scratch up?
- I would go with leather- it is much better than fabric but maybe a lighter color tan instead of chocolate brown.
