- Q: Can I lay a wooden floor above the carpet?
- This does not work, if you want to lay wooden floor, you can take the carpet away.
- Q: I've already tried carpet cleaner, nail polish remover, and bleach. Its black nail polish on a light beige carpet. Please help! Thanks.
- keep trying NON ACETONE finger nail polish remover have you tried hydrogen peroxide?
- Q: I noticed a bunch of sand under an area rug in our living room, and my mom said something about how fibers in old carpets an rugs turn into sand. Is this true? And if so, how does it work?
- do no longer hear to the different answerer. Sand is rare in australia as australia is arid (e.g wooded area, airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust, rocks) no longer a wasteland, so substrates are different. Sand is generally prevented as dragons flavor their atmosphere and could consume it. It acts as a glue and is puzzling to digest which could delivered approximately impaction or loss of existence, extraordinarily sand/calci must be especially prevented..i be attentive to from adventure because it impacted one among my bearded dragons. i might decide for carpet (which i take advantage of and have in no way had any themes with) in spite of the undeniable fact that in case you will get tile, because it records down their nails and is less difficult to bathe.
- Q: I just purchased an indoor-outdoor rug for my kitchen. I thought maybe it would wear better and not show every little spill or dirt.I had a black rug in there before and it showed everything. My problem is that I can't seem to get the wrinkles out of it.Down the sides of it are ripples and they won't go away. Therefore it won't lie flat on the floor and I'm afraid someone might trip ovr it and get hurt.
- double sided tape or industural strength velcro to adhere it to the floor...the velcro will work better...get it at your local hardware store (lowes, Homedepot, ace etc..)
- Q: Hi! Were purchasing new carpet for our mobile home. They sell a pad to for an extra cost. Never bought carpet before. Is the pad something we really need? Thank you
- Yes, you need new pad. Think of carpet pad as the foundation for your carpet....the stronger the foundation, the more durable what's above it. The better the pad, the longer your carpet will last. You can put an inexpensive carpet on a good pad, and have the carpet last longer than an expensive carpet on a cheap pad. I usually recommend and 8 pound 7/16 pad, but if money is tight, don't go with anything less than a 6 pound 7/16.
- Q: Besides vacuuming, how do you maintain white carpeting? Personally I have found that using a storebought steamer makes my carpets look dingier. A person I knew at one time told me about a dry cleaning method using some kind of powder. She told me she rented the equipment and it only cost about thirty dollars. I've researched this and don't have any idea where to go. Links to more info. would be helpful.
- I like using the dry powder method because it is so simple, no rental machine needed. You just sprinkle it down, agitate with a brush on a stick, let it dry and vacuum it up. It has brighteners in it and freshens up the look of carpet without leaving a detergent residue. Most Manufacturers also prefer customers use a dry granule method of cleaning carpets as it is not so hard on the fiber. Resolve and Capture both make them, as does Chem-dry.
- Q: what is a penny rug?
- It is a type of applique made from felted wool. A penny rug is a folk art style of decorative appliqué, traditionally made from felted wool. Primitive shapes were cut out and sewn onto a wool background using an embroidery blanket stitch of contrasting colors. Dating from the mid-19th century to the early 20th century, a penny rug was not used on the floor, but instead as decorative table coverings or wall hangings. This folk art appliqué was often finished with a tongue-shaped border. Coins such as pennies were used as templates for the circle shapes which were layered onto the bordering tongues. Hence the name penny rug.
- Q: How much is the fire protection rating of the hotel carpet?
- it depends on the hotel's scale, if it is not over 100 rooms. B2 level is enough (business area is not exceeding 2000 square meters) more than is B1 level, KTV must be B1 level
- Q: Ha-ha, all jokes aside, this is a serious rug question. What do you call the type of rug that instead of being made out of yarn, is made out of jagged-cut t-shirt material hooked through rug backing? I want one but don't know how to search for it.
- Think okorder /
- Q: Heyy me and my roommates are thowing a huge going back to school party but we are trying to keep our carpet as clean as possible (almost impossible i know). Were going to have a couple hundred people coming in and out. Is there anything that people know about that could protect the carpet from serious damage and spills? Budget is also a factor, so he cheaper the better! Thankss
- Ha okorder / Rage on! :)
