Q:is there anyway u can get nail polish out of a carpet, i spilt a whole bunch (reaaally dark).. and i tried using shout carpet but it didn't work.. is there anyway to get it out.. = thnx.. lt;3
I got hot pink nail polish on my carpet and I let it sit there and dry then just took a pair of scissors and cut the spot out mind you I was a spot like the size of my thumb nail or smaller this would prob not work with one bigger but you cannot even tell it ever happened
Q:ok so i'm entering a competition to win a horse rug and am not sure how the sizing works. as a rough guide only, i need to know what size rug goes on what size horse (e.g. 15hh horse needs size _' _quot;). thanks :)
he will need about a 56 or possible 59 depending on the make of the rug. best way is measure from centre of horses chest right round to point of buttock.
Q:I am currently trying to find a new rug for our bedroom. I am just not sure what color would work.
Which one did you choose?
Q:I have a large family room - 25 x 16 feet. I currently have a 9x12 rug on one side and want to add another on the other side of the room. The rug that works best with my existing rug only comes in 5'8x9 or 8'8x10. The first seems a little small and the second a little big. Can you have two large rugs in one room or does that overpower the room? I would only have about 14 between the two rugs if I went with the larger rug. It seems like it would look like a little landing strip. But I don't want the small one to look like a postage stamp. What to do?
It depends on what you are going to put on it. You could turn the other rug so they won't be so close together.
Q:The rug is to be 6'0 and roughly ?60 max. I've been looking at the Norti Nedi range and have come to a hard decision. do i get a fixed neck where it cannot be removed or do i get a neck attatchement??? but also will this rub at my horse's mane as this is the first time considering a neck??
My horse has a heavy weight turnout rug which has the fixed neck to keep him warm when it's extra cold and when the snow comes. I didn't see the point in getting a detachable one with this rug as he'll only be wearing it when it's super cold and will always need the neck on anyway. His medium-weight turnout rug has the detachable neck for when it's not cold enough for the heavyweight. this way you can choose if the neck has to be on or not, depending on how cold.
Q:my cat claws and tears a section of my carpet in my apartment. I would like answers from someone who really HAS the experience on cutting out the piece, replacing, sowing, etc. Can anyone help?
I've had to repair construction damaged carpet in several houses - here's how I went at it. Go to a carpet store and ask for carpet tape - a wide version of duct tape. You should be able to get it as single sided or double sided tape. Take a piece of carpeting identical to the carpeting you have to replace, cut it large enough to replace the damaged section, and lay the new piece over the old - making sure the pile of the original carpet and the patch line up. You may find it easiest to cut the carpeting from the back side, or use a knife with a blade designed to cut carpeting (see the carpet store again). Hold the patch in place while you cut through damaged carpet, using the patch as a template. If you're uncertain, make the hole in the original carpet a little small and trim the patch to fit. Once the patch fits the hole in the original carpet, use the tape to fasten the patch to the original carpet (and to the floor if two sided). Get the cat de-clawed. ;-) Good luck with it.
Q:What's the difference between a pure wool carpet and an ordinary carpet?
Pure wool carpet and carpet: a comparison of ordinary air permeability and comfort of pure wool carpet has good elasticity, soft fine wool, elastic fibers in direct contact with the skin, stimulate blood capillary, improve the microcirculation, and the gap between the fibers formed by air flow, to ensure supply of oxygen to skin and normal humidity. Make people feel fresh and comfortable, the fiber good insulation, ventilation, moisture and other properties and the role of adjuvant treatment of rheumatism and arthritis.
Q:When we finally peeled it off, it left behind all the stuff that was under it including pieces of the fuzzy part. Anyone know what I can use to get it off?? Right now my hubbs and I are scraping it off but it is taking forever. Thanks in advance!!
I would say go to the store and get an all purpose cleaner. Spray or pour it onto the surface and let it soak in. This should help a lot.
Q:what color of carpet would go good with a white bed skirt??
a light blue carpet or a scarlet carpet
Q:I recently moved house and my real fix fur rug isn't large enough to cover the floor in my room, so my question if, if I go and kill some foxes tonight, how do I skin them and how do I attach the skins to the rug without making it obvious where i have sewn them on?Also, what shall I do with the remains, is fox edible?
Yes fox is edible... but save the brain. Tanning a hide is a skill that requires practice. I can tell you how but I suggest practicing on something you don't plan to have every guest at your house have a look at. Also some sewing skill would be needed to mend the two rugs together, and foxes aren't large animals so more than one will almost definitely be needed. To tan a hide: Skin the animal at the leg and stretch the skin out very taunt. You will need a tool for scraping ( something sharp but rounded enough not to tear the hide). While the hide is stretched, scrap of the epidermis of the skin with your tool (on the side without fur obviously). Its important to keep the hide wet during this process. Keep a bucket of water nearby to wet it down with. After the hide dries from anywhere from a day or a week (still stretched) untie it and cut it to the size you need it. Now rinse it in a mixture of a half - a whole gallon of water and the foxes own brains (yes, the brains). Rinse, wring it out, rinse again. Over and over and over until your tired. Next stretch the skin out some. Give it a tug with a partner to loosen it up. Then you have to smoke the skin with a dark smoke (most likely from old rotten wood). This will cause the white skin to tan (hence, tanning the hide). Tan the fir side as well but no where near as much as the inside of the skin. Once its a golden brown you can sew it onto your first rug. Whew lol. This is just the general jist of tanning a hide. There are many other methods that I don't know about. I learned how from Naked into the wilderness: Primitive Wilderness Living Survival Skills
