Q: What are some good HOME IMPROVEMENT and/or INTERIOR DESIGN magazines in the Bay area and/or North America? I prefer high class to middle class magazines~~I am doing this project for my marketing class... Q: Is there a gardening site that lets you make a online garden picking plants and all?
There should be some sort of contact information on the bill. It's probably an outside billing company, though, and not Better Homes Garden, but this certainly won't ruin or even affect your credit.
Q: RIP chloe
It means your dog has just been put down and there was a raven in the garden.
Q: My daughters baptism is coming up soon and iam having trouble trying to figure out what kind of centerpieces to use i was thinking of having a candy theme and getting mms with her face on them and the Hershey wrappers... the problem is i dont know is candy would be a good theme and if so what kind of centerpieces should i use? help please
It is fine in Home and Garden.....don't worry about it. I find candy to be a bad idea for a baptism. That is fine for a toddler party but not for a religious event for a baby. I am an artist and interior designer. I have done favors for weddings as well as events. When I think of the baptism of a girl I think ANGELIC. Go with an angell theme or feathered angel wings. Small floral arrangements of tea roses and babies breath with feathered angel wings mixed in there would be beautiful
Q: Best IPM approach for southern california gardens?
INTERGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT. What every good gardener should know about and practice in their own yard. How to care for plants with or without chemicals. MASTER GARDENER sights, all State Univ coop Extension services and County Farm Advisor's offices have tons of free info for the public on IPM for home garden. Pest control from gophers to snails, ants to racoons. Disease control from soil pathogens to sooty mold rust. Prevention to control. When to and when not to... water, prune, feed, spray, kill, cure, avoid, prepare, stake, unstake, plant, dig up, conserve control every thing that moves or doesn't move in your yard. From managing weeds to management of nematodes. Frost damage to sunscald. Too much iron to not enough nitrogen. What is it how can I get rid of it? to what you need and how where to get it? Powdery mildew, fireblight, pesticides, sanitation, poison oak, biological control, spittlebugs, soil deficiencies, pests to galls. Your IPM info will cover them all. In your yard if you've done it, need to do it, want to know what it is or how to do, there is an IPM flyer or booklet waiting for you. You paid for the info with your tax money, so go get some of your money back via some good old know how? The real cool thing about it... they ALWAYS HAVE THE BEST ANSWER EVERY TIME!
Q: I live in South Texas and am home gardening. My plots are so-so.For example: Planted corn in March, it is under two feet. Two month-old Okra is four inches high. The watermelons are just sitting there.I had some good results from some beans, but overall, it's not doing much. How about anyone else?
I live in northern minnesota and I planted some radishes and onions and they are up. We still might get another frost so I'm waiting a while to put the rest in.
Q: Does anyone have any recommendations for finding an older 2001 issue of Better Homes and Gardens? I'm looking for a Pastry recipe featured in one of the issues (with the 1785 Inn Buleberry Pie) and none of the libraries in my area carry the older issues. I know you can sign-up and log onto the site but I don't see the logic in paying an annual subscription for just one recipe. Any thoughts or recommendations?
Roll out flat and add to greased (with butter) pie plate. Bake at 425 F for 10 minutes or until done Sauce for Blueberry Pie: 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries 1 cup sugar 3/4 cup of water Cook until boiling and blueberries pop open. Mix together 1/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup water and add to mixture to thicken. Cook and stir for 2 or 3 minutes until sauce thickens Whipped Cream: 1 pint of heavy cream 1/2 cup of confectioners' sugar 1 tsp vanilla Beat ingredients together until firm Directions: Spread thin layer of cream cheese over bottom of cooked pie crust.
Q: somehow i clicked on some link while viewing for the offers and issues....thou i didnt give my card details for the payment they have sent me a bill for 22$ which should be payable up oin receipt.how can i cancel the subscription with out payment...my first issue will be in very soon it seems...
I okorder The sooner you contact these people, the better! They certainly don't make personal contact with service reps easy, which bothers me. I would never want to do business with these kinds of corporations again.
Q: When using Treflan TR 10 as a pre-emergent weed control in a vegetable garden, does the pre -emergent function not also stop your vegetable seeds from germinating?
I've never personally used this pre-emergent before so I can't really say.. It is however, used on vegatable crops. Perhaps you need to read the label very carefully on how to apply this and what its method of operation is…
Q: Do homes have gardens in the Philippines? What is the general theme? English, French, Bali, or what?
Most homes have ornamental plants. Some have landscaped gardens, others just a patch of ornamentals planted without any order. There's no general theme either. It all depends on the preferences of the home owners. Some have the Japanese Zen gardens, others are Balinese inspired, and still others try to achieve a forest look. Some like topiaries, there are those who grow plants they consider lucky, like Chinese bamboo. And then also, there are those who have greenhouses where they grow their favorite ornamentals. In the provinces, there is also what they call fad in plant choices. There are times when almost all homes are growing mostly orchids. Not so long ago, there was an almost maniacal interest with Euphorbias, plant owners just had to have all the possible colors of flowers available. I was not exempted from that costly fad. Just like other fads though, it passed, and now, with a few exeptions, the Euphorbias are either left to fend for themselves, or are now relegated on some back portions of the garden.
