- Q:I am going to rent a rug doctor to clean the carpet in my apartment. The only stains are from my puppy, and I am not sure what kind of cleaner to use with it. should I use the regular cleaner or am I going to need a heavy duty/pet specific cleaner? I have shampooed before, but not since I got my puppy.
- The rug doctor will not remove the stains, but if you use an enzyme cleaner on the spots first, any rug machine will, with any shampoo. Cross your fingers there's no smell. That's another problem.
- Q:Our cat pees on our rug and we don`t know why. The main part is we can`t get the smell of the rug. We have this huge piece of tinfoil and it says that he would be scared of it and not even walk on it but he walks right over and starts biting at it. - If your cat isnt using the litterbox or cant seem to hold its urine to get to the litterbox in time than I think seeing a vet is necessary to rule out any medical issues like urinary tract infection. If your cat is not fixed that could be the other reason, so as long as your cat is healthy enough getting fixed should solve that issue.

- It seems like braided rugs are pretty intuitive -- just braid and sew, and use your imagination. If you are afraid of goofing up, you could try doing coasters or placemats first. I don't think you need a class, but sometimes it's nice to do it with other people.
- Q:Romantic evening with a few melted candles knocked over, lol. So how do you get dried candle wax out of the carpet?
- Put a brown paper bag over the dried candle wax and run an iron over it, this will require a few strokes. The wax should lift onto the paper bag
- Q:Can anyone help me with this. It is cold out at the minute but not actually such a big deal as he is in the stable at night. My problem is that he also has Sweet-Itch and I'd like to get him to accept a rug before April or I will be in trouble!! I just got him a few months ago and he is great with everything else! (plastic bags, traffic, horse-box).The rug I bought is a turn out rug and I know Sweet-Itch rugs are a lot more lightweight but I dont really want to splash out on one just yet untill I make some progress!!
- I took the no nonsense approach when putting a rug on my 16.2hh Thoroughbred who had never been rugged up before. I just threw it on like i do with my other horses, granted she did have a bit of a dance about, but nothing major, after about 5 or 6 times of rugging her up she was fine with it.
