- For that priced carpet, budget a minimum of 3$ a s/f for that carpet to be installed with a basic 5 1/2 or 6 pound pad. . Doing those measurements you have 336 s/f. Budget a minimum 1000$. Some times places like HD have specials to install whole house for 99$. This will bring costs down a lot. Closer to the 800$ range.
