Q: I just got a new chair for my computer, Its the kind that spins.He's terrified of the chair!How can you make a cat stop being scared of a chair?: I'm guessing he(?) saw it spin and maybe thought of it as something predatory. What I'd do is hold your cat closely in your arms, talking in soft tones and petting him/her then walk slowly to the chair, sit down with your cat still in your arms and just hold him for awhile, then let the chair slowly turn back and forth and just keep talking to him, holding him. After awhile he/she will be more curious than scared; then soon after that he/she will be leaving hair all over your chair and you will have to move him/her to use your computer (like I do!) lol. Truly!

Q: I am redoing a little iron vanity chair that at one time had a pillow back. I don't have the orig hardware for it and would like to know how to do this.: So are you asking how to reupholster the back of a small chair? Cut a piece of fabric at least 6 bigger on all sides, get a piece of batting 1/2 smaller all around than the area being covered and a staple or glue gun. Put the batting on the area to be covered, cover it in the fabric and pull the fabric to the back, securing with staples and or glue. Standard upholstery. Other wise, make a pillow the right size and shape and then tie it in place. I would add more detail to the question, maybe a pic of the chair?

All four of my grandparents and both of my parents prefer the comfort of overstuffed reclining chairs during the final decades of their lives. My siblings and I (we're in our 60's and 70's) also enjoy the comfort of reclining chairs.: I have a wing chair that rocks. I would think a wooden one would be uncomfortable. I don't know if what you say is actually true. It sounds like something from an old novel or movie, like Boo Radley's chair rocking on the rickety old porch, or something. Or Norman Bates' mother in the basement. I don't really rock in my chair all that often, only if one of the animals is sitting in my lap. They seem to like the motion of rocking.

Since most of my work is out in the field, building something or fixing something, the rest of my time is at the computer or doing paper work. So this is the chair that I feel most comfortable in. It's not fancy, but I did get one that is comfortable to sit in. I do have other chairs and a sofa in the house, but except for watching a foot ball game or something like that, I don't use them very often. My dog has even claimed the sofa as his own LOL Just me I guess

Where did you get it and how much did it cost you?: No, he likes to cuddle with us, but he does have his own kid sized chair and little table next to ours to eat at-my mom got it online for his 1st or 2nd birthday, I think. I have to say I find the Babies R Us, TRU reviews really hard to go by, because it seems every product is rated as pure crap by 50% and the greatest ever by the other 50%.

Q: I looked on ebay couldn't find any, I just don't want to pay $70 for the chair: And when you see what they are, you really won't want to pay that for them. :) The chairs are really nice and I can't think of anything you can substitute for the insert. It is 2 odd sized rectangle-ish foam inserts for the seat and back and then 2 cylindrical inserts for the arms. Stuffing it all in there is a pain but it's nice when you have to wash just one area of the chair. You might try looking on craigslist. I see stuff like that all the time on there. I know it's a good chunk of money (especially when you add the cover) but the one we have has really taken a beating and it still looks brand new. If you can't find a cheaper one, I'd still just buy the one from pottery barn.
