Q: I am in the search of a new computer chair since my $20 wooded one is about to die, but I see so many names that say manager, executive, high back, etc...Which one should i choose? Should i go with the one that says High Back or the one without high back?My height is 6 feet 2 inches and weight is 190 pounds.Thanks for your help.: Executive okorder / High back chairs allow you to rest your head, while mid back and low back chairs don't. Mid back chairs usually don't even reach your neck level. If you sit in your chair for long hours, a high back chair is better.

Q: I have a gig with my band and we need something to use as an amp stand. i was thinking a foldable chair would work the best, help?: As long as it's a good strong chair sitting level on a solid floor then it should be okay. Just check it from time to time to be sure it stays stable. Years ago , before I got my extension cabinet , I used a chair with no problems. And my amp was a little pig , it was a 70's Fender Twin with 2 heavy duty JBL speakers so it was heavy as all get out but the chairs handled it with no problem. It really helps to have the cabinet up where you can hear it. I used to carry around a couple of those plastic milk crates for the places that didn't have folding chairs available.They worked really good too. I would cover the crates with a black cloth before I put the amp up on them so it didn't look too cheesy.Actually you could't even tell what the amp was sitting on.

Q: How to draw a manga of a teen transforming into a car, jacket, or chair? I am drawing a manga for a friend of mine and need to draw a transformation sequence for the story. Its a story similer to Harry Potter about a school of wizards. He wants me to draw a picture of a boy being transformed or morphed into a chair and another boy transforming into a jacket (I think a sports jacket).: Did he said turn into completely inanimate objects? Q: If I have a CIS cyclohexane (with 2 cis substituents), would that translate into a CIS chair conformation (with both substituents pointing in the same direction)?? Like, having a cis cyclohexane DOES NOT translate into a cis chair conformation??: For your first question, you are likely drawing your chair conformer correctly, but interpreting it incorrectly. Are you equating equatorial and axial positions as trans? Cis substituents are sometimes in equatorial and axial positions - you can tell that they are cis if BOTH are the upper or lower subsituent. The substituents are trans if one is in the upper position, and one is in the lower position. I wish I could attach a picture to this answer to show you better. For your second question, you are probably drawing it incorrectly. One will be axial, and one will be equatorial. Remember to number your carbons so that you are drawing your substituent on the right one. tert-butyl groups are very bulky and will add a lot of steric hindrance to your molecule. In this case, a boat conformer will actually be more stable! Cis cyclohexanes do translate into chair conformations, but this particular molecule is more stable as a boat.
