Q:I have a wicker set in my living room and I have a house cat that sits on the chair
I think that leather would be best if the cat does not have claws. Otherwise, go with a microfiber and use a static bush to pick up the hairs
Q:What kind of office seats are available?
Look at the composition of the material, can be divided into: leather leather office chair, office chair, office chair, cloth mesh office chair, office chair plastic etc..
Q:I have recently bought 2 office chairs to be comfortable while working at the computer, for hours as my work requires...I amstill at a loss, as to comfort, but after $500, I think maybe someone would know an answer to help me on this matter.thanks.
Are you saying you're not comfortable in your office chair? Well, I would just keep searching until you find one. Maybe you should sell those chairs and use the money to get a better, comfier chair. Sorry, this question was kind of confusing.
Q:I mean what is a gaming chair and what makes it so great
Well, I haven't actually used one yet, but it is a chair that can be connected to game systems, music players, etc. I bought one for a friend for Christmas because it seemed like a perfect gift (why I haven't used it - its in a box still). The convenience can be the personal speaker system, while sitting in a chair. Better stereo sound than just a TV. I mostly got it for my friend because they have an mp3 player and always are doing homework while listening to music - this way they can sit on this chair and have their own sound system. So I don't know if it would work for you, but that is why I got it.
Q:I have a microfiber chair that is looking a little dingy, what is the best way to clean it? Is there a good product? Any advice??
Mix about 1 tablespoon of laundry soap and warm water in a bucket, dip a white cloth in the bucket, make sure to wring out the cloth as best as possible, wipe chair let dry and vacuum. I have microfiber pillows and have cleaned them using the same method. Great for the car interior too! Good Luck!
Q:My sciatic kills me; plus I've got nerve damage in my shoulders from holding my arms out all the time. What's the best ergonomic office chair to alleviate the symptoms? Please don't send $800 suggestions. I could consider chairs up to $300 maximum.
Ergonomics is more than just a good chair. Your whole workstation must be properly set up. Let me ask a few questions: Do you use a keyboard tray? Do you have a flat screen monitor at your desk and is it supported by a monitor arm (Not the stand provided by the manufacturer)? Do you sit in a cubicle or in an office? In regards to the chair, there is no one chair that is better than any other. Chairs are personal and what might work for you will not work for others. Unfortunately, office chairs are expensive. The less expensive chairs you see in retail stores are usually rated for only 2-3 hours per day and do not have the support or warranty for an 8 hour day. To find a good chair, that will have either a synchro-tilt mechanism or a counter-balance mechanism you are probably going to spend closer to $500. I would suggest calling an office-furniture dealer in your area. They will be able to come to your place of business an provide you with demo chairs so you can find the chair that is the best fit for you.
Q:If I have a CIS cyclohexane (with 2 cis substituents), would that translate into a CIS chair conformation (with both substituents pointing in the same direction)?? Or are they completely unrelated?Because when I try converting cyclohexanes to chairs, I end up getting the trans conformation...The lowest energy conformation of cis-1-4-(1,1-dimethylethyl)cyclohexane is not a chair. Why?^^For the above question, the answer is because ONE of the t-butyl groups is in an axial position...BUT when I draw the cis cyclohexane and convert it to a chair, I get BOTH t-butyl groups in opposite-direction axial positions...which, I know, isn't the cis conformation. Is it not possible to convert from cyclohexanes to chairs? Like, having a cis cyclohexane DOES NOT translate into a cis chair conformation??
For your first question, you are likely drawing your chair conformer correctly, but interpreting it incorrectly. Are you equating equatorial and axial positions as trans? Cis substituents are sometimes in equatorial and axial positions - you can tell that they are cis if BOTH are the upper or lower subsituent. The substituents are trans if one is in the upper position, and one is in the lower position. I wish I could attach a picture to this answer to show you better. For your second question, you are probably drawing it incorrectly. One will be axial, and one will be equatorial. Remember to number your carbons so that you are drawing your substituent on the right one. tert-butyl groups are very bulky and will add a lot of steric hindrance to your molecule. In this case, a boat conformer will actually be more stable! Cis cyclohexanes do translate into chair conformations, but this particular molecule is more stable as a boat.
Q:So I have this table, right. And on this table there is nothing. Just air moving above it. Nothing, no paper, nothing. You can see straight through to the backgrounds, you can move your hand there, and feel nothing.Prove there is a chair on that table.
Okay. So I'm going to close my eyes and IMAGINE a chair on that table. And not just any chair... I'm imagining the PERFECT chair. This is a chair that is superior to other chairs in every way. In fact, I will define this chair by saying that it is IMPOSSIBLE to imagine a chair which is more perfect. Now, I think we can all agree that a thought which is prompted by a real thing is superior to a thought which is entirely imaginary. If I go out in a freeway and imagine a car's not going to hit me, I'm going to be dead unless my imagination happens to also be true. This means the same thing must be so for the chair I'm imagining right now. Since I know this chair is superior to any other imaginary chair, that means it must be caused by a real chair. A chair that actually exists on top of your table there. It is, in fact, impossible for a chair NOT to be there, or the perfect chair in my mind would be a contradiction. PS: Yah. I know that, Panda. Still, I suppose ol' Bishop Berkeley might say that even perceiving a chair as being there is enough to make it there. I'm not quite so much of an idealist myself, but I figured someone out there might find it persuasive. You do what you can, neh?
Q:The front leg of a metal, stackable chair collapsed under me when I sat on it. What are the metal tolerances which might or could have been lacking which made the chair leg so weak?
It is unlikely that the chair collapsed solely based on your weight. Chairs are designed to take compressive forces. They are not designed to be tilted where compressive forces would favour a single leg of the chair. My suspicion is that this chair was subjected to this improper usage either while you were using it or before you were using it. In any case, the chair would have to have been damaged or improperly used in order for it to collapse. The other possibility is that your weight exceeded the maximum allowable load rating of the chair.
Q:I wanted to rent chair covers and sashes, but at $4.50 a chair for 200 people I think it's just ridiculous for the cost! These are the chairs my hall provides, any cheaper ways to decorate it so that is still looks nice? The chairs provided are gray...but my colors are Black and light pink.Pictures would be great if you have them! Thanks.
girl.........seriously i would leave them alone. they are an classic shaped chair, and look fairly comfortable. the gray chairs with the white tablecloths is beautiful! very elegant! don't clutter the chairs up with bows or tulle. leave them as is. once you have added your table centrepieces of pink witha dash of black accent - the gray chairs will fit right in - the effect will be stunning! truly it will - i promise you it will be very classy looking! that $4.50 a chair for 200 people can be spent on other things that you will enjoy much more. honeymoon, furnishings for your new home, or just open a savings account and start saving for a family!!!! have a wonderful wedding and a loving marriage! good luck!
