Q: I have heavy aluminium chairs around a table on my outdoor patio, see http://www.norths .za/cat6.php?catID=7 My patio floor comprises unglazed tile, and the chairs are hard to pull out to sit on and once seated, to slide toward the table. The ends of the legs are round +- 18mm (3/4 inches). I have tried felt pads - no good - they wear away in days. I have tried hard plastic caps - a little better - but still difficult to move.What can I do to allow the chairs to slide easily.: Look for the sliders at WalMart or equivalent. They have some that glue on, screw on, etc. They are excellent. I put them on my heavy furniture and I can move it easily to clean-glue on ones.

Q: Just purchased 10 ladder back country chairs from a not so clean house. The chairs have a straw design I guess for the seat? The design comes in on all four sides. The straw looks like rope to me just very old and dirty. The chairs are old but could be beautiful again. They are in excellent condition from what I can see, just dirty and smoked up. Q: Our puppy likes to take a few pieces of food from the kitchen and carry them over to the chairs by the kitchen table, sit down, and eat under there! What's going on? My wife thinks it's a sign of a problem...: They might be scared or probably lack of trust. What you could is encourage them come from under there but at their own pace. Q: I recently bought this chair from a furniture dealer in South-East London. Got a good offer and bought the chair purely on aesthetic value: The chair design is called a four back ladder chair because of the four horizontal slats on the back. I want to say that it came from Denmark based on the curved seat design, possibly a Hans Wegner, but I really don't know that for sure. I would guess it's from the mid to late 50's.

Your kitty just happens to be plain obsessed with the chair and likes to sit straight, is it in sunlight? Because cats will often sit in the same spot and sit up straight if there is sunlight gleaming in the spot. The creepy grin is showing he is loving sitting there and enjoying it. He may also like sitting there because it's your chair or he thinks it comfy.
