- bones makes many types of bearings. Some are ABEC rated and the better ones are not. The ABEC rating is for vibration in high speed machines that run at speeds similar to skating over 200 mph. They are not the best design for skating but companies make a lot of them for other reasons and it is cheaper to get them than a design that is custom made. Bones, Twin Cam, Zero Drag, and some other companies have custom designs for their better bearings.

- This sounds like the technician that diagnosed the vehicle either had bad hearing or he just did not care and said tell him it needs both of them to the service writer! Yes, the idea about they have equal wear (as stated by the other poster) it true, but, I am a fan of if it ain't broke don't fix it on the wheel bearings, because there is nothing that has to be taken off as an assembly (each side is an individual labor) So I would recommend replacing them only as they wear out! (tell him to tell you which side is making the noise!!!) ADDED; Also Please, When asking ANY automotive question give as much vehicle information as possible YMM (year, make, model) and engine size if possible! This is very important when diagnosing a problem, no matter how small!

- Do not put grease, grease will wreak your bearings. The best thing to do is buy a skate tool that can help you insert them. If you dont want to do that simply put the bearing on the wheel (where it needs to go) and put the wheel on the truck with the bearing still on the wheel facing the truck. Then just simply push down on the wheel and the bearing will pop into place.

- For a skateboard deck, you cant go wrong with getting either a girl or a chocolate. i have had both and I loved them both. They were the two best boards that I had ever had. They have great pop and awesome durability. I will always ride these two boards and nothing else. For your wheels, you cant go wrong with getting spitfires. A lot of people like spitfires, and once you have a pair you will love them. For bearings, you cant get any better than bone reds. I just recently got a pair a few months back and they are still in very good condition. They are fast and they roll really smooth. And last but not least, the trucks. I would recommend getting the thunder hollow lights. They are one of the best trucks that you can get. Well, I hope this helps you out man, and keep on skating!

- Q:I'm buying this old classic 1983 yz125 for like 200 bucks. The guy said it needs a piston and bottom end bearings. I'm just a little confused on what bottom end bearings are. Like crankshaft bearings? Also if you know where I can find parts for an 83 that would also help to lol.
- The bottom end rod bearings on that model are roller bearings. If they need to be replaced a dealer has to pull apart the 2 piece crank and press it back together. Not a do it yourself job. I can't help you with finding parts

- Silver out it does matter because you dont want dirt getting in your bearing and f-ing them up. Spacers are seperate from the bearing their just little cilindrical tubes.The easiest way to put bearings on is to put your bearing on the truck your wheel then press down on the wheel same for the other side.
