Q: Well I have a mono D and it has - - + + on it and I want to to wire my dvc 4ohm sub to 2 ohms but I'm not sure what terminals I hook the speaker wire up to?: wire okorder /... and than wire it to any of the negatives on the amp its all one channel internally so it really doesn't matter which negative u use. than wire the positive to any positive on the amp.

Q: Does lime wire add a lot of pop-ups and slow down your computer?: limewire itself does not but you should just watch what you download. In general audio files wont do anything bad, movies might, and programs are very bad especially if they are .zip. I use ARES because it is much more safer. The files people get are automatically uploaded from their computer if the file is in the ARES folder meaning the programs are put on without anyone's consent and no one can put a virus on it because they would be screwing up their own computer. But don't worry to make sure what others are downloading from your computer on ARES. Right click any file and click locate file. And the folder that it shows is what anyone can download.

Q: I moved into a home with pre-wired speakers. There is a bundle of speaker wire coming out of the wall. Each wire has 4 colors of other wire coming out of it. There are a total of 7 main wires (with four wires each) and a total of 9 speakers.: 4 conductor wire has a few neat uses. 1 is to bi-wire your speakers. Meaning that if the speaker has 2 red and 2 black terminals then remove the bridge and run the cables to the posts separately thus increasing surface conduction and increasing output and sound quality. Also if you are running cables in the wall to 2 speakers that are near each other or to a single stereo speaker then you don't have to run 2 separate 2-conductor wires. This would also be true if you are running to a second zone using an in wall volume control. If this is the only wire you have for a standard speaker connection it won't hurt to twist them together at both end (pos with pos/ neg with neg) and serves the same purpose as using thicker cables.

Q: wiring diagrams: Usually just find a spare socket to plug it into. Difficult bit is getting the plumbing right - read all the information supplied with the pump or look on the web before you buy it.

Q: I am trying to replace a GFCI outlet, there are 6 wires -3 White, 2 Black Ground. I have tried to wire it several times and indicator light comes on but it doesn't trip or work when something is plugged in. It's in a box with 2 light switches and I believe feeds down to another switch plug because they are currently not working. As well as my microwave which is on the same circuit. So long story short how do I wire this thing?: You need to find which set of wires is the feed 1st. Turn off breaker for that circuit disconnect wires . Then turn breaker back on . Which black wire is hot ? Remember which black wire has power. Then shut off breaker again . The black wire that is hot gets connected to your line voltage connection side ( Gold screw on outlet ) the white wire goes to the other line voltage side ( Silver screw ) . The other black and white wire gets connected to the load side of the GFI . If the screws are all the same color for some reason . Remember the longer slot is always the neutral or white wire . The smaller slot is the black or hot wire . Ground to the green screw .Turn breaker back on and test .

Q: I want two lights on two 3-way switches.1. Power from basement box into light #1 with 12-2 wire. 2. Another 12-2 wire from light #1 to light #2.3. A 12-3 wire from light #1 to switch #1.4. Q: I have an old house with old wiring. I have no colors to go by.: By electrical code (not sure how old this code is, but I think very old) if there are 2 wires for a circuit the one with any type of marking is the neutral or negative wire. For instance, it is common for a cord to have 1 smooth wire and 1 ribbed wire (there are raised grooves that go the length of the wire), the ribbed wire is the neutral. Or in outlets the larger plug hole is the neutral. Testing the continuity to ground is the best method, but make sure to turn the breaker off before you test it, as you might break your meter if you test continuity of a hot circuit.

Q: can someone tell me what wire arcing is?: is there a wire arcing to something?? is there a potential (voltage/current) on the wire? if the voltage exceeds the wire insulation, it can arc to a lower potential, usually something that is at ground (0) potential. if the insulation has been reduced due to chaffing or cut through, it can arc to a lower potential. now that we still need more info, we think that your wire arcing is electrical current going from one potential to another.
