- Q: no power to brown trailer wire
- yes, there is a way just think about it.
- Q: So ground wire, start anywhere i suppose?Where does ground wire hook up too?why you need to ground out your system?Only need 1 ground wire?
- The ground wire in an automobile accessory installation is to make the complete circuit for the electricity to follow. Some things on cars use the frame and metal panels for grounding, but for an amp and some radios you probably should not. The battery is grounded to the frame and to the engine.
- Q: A 0.500 g wire is stretched between two points 95.0 cm apart. If the tension in the wire is 600 N, find the wire's first, second, and third harmonics.______Hz (1st)______Hz (2nd)______Hz (3rd)
- Kia ora In order to answer this question, we first need to ascertain the speed of a wave in this wire. The speed of a wave on a wire depends upon the tension 'T' and the linear density (mass per unit length) 'μ' of the wire. v=√(T/μ) T=600 N The linear density of your wire is 5.00E-4 kg/0.95=5.263E-4 kg/m. So for this wire, v=√(600/5.263E-4) =1068 m/s Now we have the speed, we need to find the wavelengths that correspond to the harmonics we are interested in. The wire is fixed at both ends. Nodes occur at fixed ends. Therefore the first harmonic will occur when there is a node at each end and the longest possible wavelength that satisfies this condition is λ=2L (you get half a wavelength on the wire). So λ=2*0.95=λ=1.90m. If v=1068m/s and λ=1.90 then by the wave equation v=fλ f=v/λ=1068/1.90=562.1 Hz. So that is the first harmonic. The second harmonic has twice the frequency of the first; the third harmonic has three times the frequency of the first. The second harmonic will therefore occur at 562.1*2=1124 Hz and the third at 562.1*3=1686 Hz. Because your data was given to 3sf you need to round your answer to 3sf: 1st harmonic: 562 Hz 2nd harmonic: 1120 Hz 3rd harmonic: 1680 Hz
- Q: is it ok for a 32mm square THHN wire
- For THHN wire (90*c/194*F), you would need: #3 Copper Wire Gauge Size 110 amp rating (doesn't account for voltage drop for distance) #2 for aluminum wire. #3/0 Copper Wire Gauge Size 225 amp rating (doesn't account for voltage drop for distance) #4/0 for aluminum wire. Note: A licensed electrician should be consulted in you area as local codes may differ.
- Q: while changing a lighting fixture i accidently pulled out the white wire while trying to strip it of the three caps in the electrical box im not sure which one it goes intheres a cap with two black wires and one white running too it another cap with three white wire running two it and a cap with a black wire running too it and the other black wire goes too the fixture which one of these caps do the white wire that connects too the fixture belong in?
- Hi There, The white wire (pigtail) that was pulled loose needs to be connected to the other white wires inside the box. . After that connect the black pigtail (that is hanging loose) and white pigtail to the eterminals on the light fixture. Hope that helps, Al
- Q: Besides the speaker wires, what do the remaining 5 colored wires stand for on a stock 03 Mitsubishi Galant radio?
- See if they have a Haynes book for your vehicle at an auto store. In the last pages they have the wiring diagrams and the colors.
- Q: what size wiring should i use to wire a plug in for a dryer?
- if the dryer rateing plate says 220 volt 30 amp you can use # 10 stranded wire/ romex 2 colored wires and 1 ground (bare) or insulated green wire.
- Q: I would like to know how to wire my West Marine VHF Radio.Coming out the back of the radio is a red wire, a white wire, and two black wires. The white wire and one of the black wires are a thinner gauge then the other black and red wires. Any solutions out there? Thanks
- I would say the red wire is your power 12 V + side, The bigger black one would be you ground or - side , and the remaining two wires are for the speeker
- Q: i want to now which is the live wire and which is nuteral thank you
- Henry is correct. The other answers are wrong.
- Q: I need to buy some electrical wire for my car, does it matter what color the copper wire is inside of ( i.e. black, yellow, red, green, blue, etc.)
- Well, keeping your colors straight will definitely make your wiring easier to understand later on. Red should got to the positive side, black to the negative. Any other colors are more or less up to you. What actually matters more is choosing the right gage of wire for the job. If your wire is too thin for the current going through it, it will melt quite quickly and possible start a fire. Make sure you know what gage you need before you start, and don't try to go cheap. Hope this helps!
