- Q: ok so i was cleanin my room today. i ran the sweeper under my desk and my comp froze and crashed and the screen looked like a video game when it crashes. and i rebooted it and it was fine. and i ran the sweeper under my desk again and same thing happened. but its fine when i'm not running the cleaner under my desk. wtf does that mean? do vacuum cleaners emit somekinda fequency that comps just dnt like? it never happened at my old house and when i had win XP. i have win 7 now.
- did you check your plugs? makesure all are plugged in right or you might have a bad wall socket,a loose wire or ?move computer away from desk and try again
- Q: Geddit?
- I personally wouldn't make it my profession to do that, especially if you have to go door to door because people don't open their doors to anybody anymore.
- Q: I am currently looking for a new vacuum cleaner. The old one I've had is falling apart and its being held together by a shoulder strap and duct tape. I am currently looking for a commercial upright or backpack vacuum cleaner but I'm not sure if they are meant for home use. Can you help me out here?
- Sure why not. If you can find a store that sells one. I'd check in the yellow pages for commercial cleaning supplies. Expect to pay a significant premium. It will not have more suction. The plastic bits will be replaced by metal and it will have a longer cord.
- Q: I know this may sound ridiculous, but whenever my parents run the vacuum cleaner, I get a really bad headache and I really want to get out of the house. I think it's because it's so loud, it blocks out every other sound and the sound is so annoying it's like nails on a chalkboard.Except that doesn't explain the panic attacks I get when I hear that sound 75% of the time. =/Any advice? Please?
- So you have a phobia for vaccum cleaners. A phobia is defined as being scared something will happen in the future. (Something like that) So the only thing you can do or the best thing to do in my opinion is to face it. Its a treatment actually. What you do is stay there when they vacuum. And even when your anxiety raises to the top. Because the way panic attacks work is they go up, and they hit the ceiling, and have to lower. So if you stay there, and let your anxiety peak, then lower back to regular. The fear that something bad will happen in the future will disappear. Or weaken largely. Because your sitting there, and nothing is happening, and even though you know inside nothing will happen to you your mind still reacts that way. (Like some people are afraid of bunnies) So sit through the vacuuming and I am sure that you will be able to face it time after time after that :D
- Q: How can I fix a vacuum that will not turn off. I vacuumed up a piece of clothing and pulled it out of the bottom, ever since the only way to turn the vacuum off is via the plug. Any suggestions?
- Adam is correct to an extent, however, you shouldn't need a soldering iron to replace the switch on any vacuum made in the last 30 years, they all have push on terminals. Depending on where and how the switch is located in the unit, it could be a fairly simple take the handle apart with a couple of screws, swap out the switch and be done, or you may find that you have to disassemble the main body to get to the actual switch. Many models now use an actuating rod that moves the actual switch located further down in the body of the machine. Unforturnately you've given us no information whatsoever, concerning a make, model or type of vacuum, so it's going to be very difficult to help much more.
- Q: Where could I find info. on this on what equals what? Thanks!
- Watts is amps x volts. So, it is just different ways of saying the same thing. Buy your sweeper, take it home and use it. If you don't like it, take it back and get another, if you don't like that one, take it back and get another.
- Q: So I like seen Jurassic Park again in the 3D room at my movie plex and then I realized something. I was vacuuming and a paper clip got sucked in then I recalled that when I hear the velociraptors.
- LOL! I hadn't thought of that. But I suppose it's true. Funny observation.
- Q: Hello, I'm thinking of purchasing Dirt Devil Vision vacuum cleaner that has a HEPA filter. I realize those filters are very expensive....how long do they last? (in terms of years, and in terms of how many times you emptied the cup approx).I'm new to vacuum cleaners, open to suggestions! Thanks! (100-200 price range)
- Hello,i suggested you need to buy Bissell Steam Mops.It is more convenient, cheap and practical. So try to follow link below to catch more ideas..ok..cheers
- Q: What are everybody's opinions on the Kirby G3/G4/G5/G6/UG/DE/SE/SE II vacuum cleaners/carpet shampooers?
- Absolutely love my G3. I've had it for over 20yrs had no problems what so ever. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
- Q: iRobot Roomba Scheduler Vacuuming Robot; does it pick up dog fur from carpets?
- I just bought a house 2 months ago and I saw a couple of houses with above ground pools and quite honestly, they were not a bonus, but a big money pit in my eyes. Unless your pool is in nearly PERFECT condition and the deck is big, useable and clean, then it's probably not helping you. Personally, I'd remove the pool and repair the yard where it was - even turn it into a garden spot or something. Pools in general are huge money pits and an above ground pool is never going to last like an in-ground one, so I think buyers will be turned off. Not to mention, most people who have an above ground pool don't live in a neighborhood that has the value to support the pool's cost or the size of yard to really fit it properly. It ends up looking desperate and crammed into a tiny yard. My vote is to remove it.
