Q: im confuse... so, i know how to remove the wheels and bearings and stuff. i wanna know what to use. my friend told me to use acetone but idk what acetone is... could someone tell me? and i also wanna know how to clean it. do i just pour the acetone in a bowl and put the bearings in? or do i have to remove the sheild of the bearings before i put it in? could someone help please?if you can tell me what acetone is and where i can get it. is it in nail polish remover? thanks
WELL.....you can just use some rubbing alchol, pour some of it in a small container with a lid and pop them goomba bearings all up in that junk, you can take the sheilds off if you want but you dont really need to, put the lid on the container swish them badboys around for like 5-8 min and wash the bearings off in some water for a little bit, then get some lubricant for them so they wont be super dry and sound horrible, and i dont recommend wd40 because its to thin and it dosnt lubricate thet well, and dont use anything to thick that will stop up ur bearings like grease or something. P.S.-it will help clean better if you take the sheilds off but its not that big of a deal. this guy above me is a GOOMBA, dont trust him he only wants your candy.
Q: what year did they come out with them? i know swiss came out in 83
Bones Swiss bearings came out in 88. There were other Swiss bearings on the market, though. Reds are much newer, coming to market in the early 2000s
Q: how long does crankshaft bearings take to replace on snowmobile?
After splitting the engine case the crankshaft must be pressed apart in sections to remove the roller main bearings and needle bearings on the big ends of the rods. This is not a job for an inexperienced person with the wrong tools. All the sections of the crank must be indexed properly in a fixture before they're pressed back together. Nowadays a *new high performance snowmobile crankshaft including the bearings and rods cost more than a crankshaft for your car!
Q: i am thinking about buying abec 9 bearings. Also i have some slow bearings too that i want to make faster.
bearings are very good. Like the Bones and Twin Cam, they are not ABEC rated because they can be made better by not following the standards for something else. It depends on why the slow bearings are slow. If they are cruded up inside (usually will sound or feel crunchy as you turn them) you need to clean them. If they got that way by running through water, there may be rust that will never clean out completely. It is possible that you got some that have a lot of grease in them. That can make a bearing really slow. The answer again is to clean it and lube it properly. Oil runs faster in bearings but you will need to reoil them more frequently (easier to do if you leave one shield off). Grease is slower but lasts a lot longer.
Q: i had abec 5s bearings on my longboard, and a friend told me that bones swiss black bearings would be faster. i dont do tricks on my board i just cruise around. so i bought them for about 50 bucks. i put them on my sector 9 wheels and i spun them. with the abec 5s my 2 back wheels spun for about 35 seconds each and the 2 front ones spun for about 20. now they all spin for about 15 seconds each with the swiss bearings! and these are supposed bones swiss! are they messed up? do i have to grease them a bit first? or am i using the wrong wheels? until then im using my Abec 5s
i dunno anything about skateboards but the first ones pretty! ....xx
Q: here's a link to rush hybrid bearings
dude you know what you need, rush all weather bearings. i got them, and 2 days ago, my board fell in the POOL!!!!!! the whole board sunk! my board is ok amazingly, it was in their for almost like, 2 minutes(its longer then you think), and my bearings are still workin brand new.no rust or anythings. their water and rust proof, their awsome too!!!! but get the rush hybrids if you dont get the ones i just told you about lol. sorry for the whole story ****.
Q: i need to know which is better for my skateboard
I used to roller skate when I was younger and I had abec 1 bearings which were very good at the time but I heard that the higher abec bearings were better but I'm only about 70% sure about that. If your comparing abec 5's against abec 7's they probably don't even make abec 1's anymore so I'm guessing that 7's are better
Q: So I've been looking for some skateboard bearings on Amazon that are cheap do you guys think that these bearings are worth it and you think they work on other skateboards besides longboards(first link btw)?
Get the first link , the ABEC 9 , But if you want a more reliable set of bearings get the Bones Reds .
Q: I already have the parts how much would a shop charge for labor to do 2 front wheel bearings
hay go to advance auto and set up an account then you can put your vehicle in well i mean there web site and add ur car then you can go into what they call your garage once ur in there there you select shops near you via zip find the closet or one u like, then you can go into a little program they have called cost estimater well something like that, the data base will use and calculate labor according to your area location like were i live the average labor cahrge is 85.00 per if youu dont what to take time to do it give me ur vehicle specs and ill run it for you,ive done wheel bearings before hold on i see u have imfo up there sorry ill go and check it for uare they the wheel hub assembly or do you have to press them in if its the assembly you and a buddy can do it it be a shot saturday ok ill be back with estimate ,it wont be 100% acurate depending on labor cost in ur woods ok i checked for some resone they didnt have bearing listed in the estimater but they do have a step by step estimated time per side 1 hour so u figure labor wood at 85.00 an hour or what ever 170.00 labor but i checked it is the hub assebly they are pretty easy take ur time and theres vids on youtube search 1a auto hope i was a help good luck i check my 2000 pontiac sunfire it didnt have hub assembly in esatamator ,ran my 03 s10 it was listed cost was175.00 labor have a good 1
