Q: People keep saying they`re good, but i just wanna make sure. I will rate the best answer. Please answer ASAP )
yes they are pretty good, but they don't tend to last that long. if you want to get a good or decent pair of bearings, get bones reds.
Q: What does ABEC for skateboard bearings mean?
ABEC stands for Annular Bearing Engineering Council and it is a rating of how good bearings are. Basically the higher the number after ABEC-, the better the bearing is supposed to be. The scale goes ABEC-1, ABEC-3, ABEC-5, ABEC-7 and ABEC-9. Bones Bearings (Swiss, Ceramic) are Skate Rated and are basically better than most of the bearings rated on the ABEC scale.
Q: plz answer if you have a skateboard and understand the difference
The difference is that you are asking which is better a Ford or a truck. 608 is the standard industrial size spec for bearings used in skates and boards. Z indicates a shield. All bearings that will fit your board are 608. ABEC 3 is an industrial standard for tolerances in the bearing. Higher numbers indicate smaller tolerances and less vibration at high speeds (industrial speeds that are equivalent to a couple hundred miles per hour on your board. ABEC numbers are basically meaningless for skates and boards. There is more difference in quality between makers than in ABEC 1 and ABEC 7. The lubricant used in the bearing will have more effect on speed than different ABEC ratings.
Q: cylindrical roller bearings
The rolling elements of the bearing are shaped like a cylinder.
Q: whats the best skateboard bearings? i dnt have much money, i spent 50 dollars on an element deck and i bought wheels, trucks, and griptape. Now all i need is bearings i would prefer something under 15 dollars im looking for best price not best quality, i want them to last but im pretty new to skateboarding and all i can do is ollie. I want something cheap. Please help!!!
Dude, you bought all that stuff then went home to ask the internet what bearings to get? That's really weird. just get shop bearings, they're cheap and work fine.
Q: Hey im gettin a skateboard soon(prbly armour light w/ royal trucks).it comes wit generic bearings...im just wonderin if its worth it to get the reds for like $25 CND.im already payin like $170 for it so if its not a big deal id prefer to not get them...its kinda dumb but idk what the **** bearings even do....so yaa is it worth it
The bearings that come with it will be good enough. I wouldn't recommend getting Bones Reds unless your board is so slow once you get it. Well, I wouldn't recommend Bones Reds period. HKD abec5 bearings are the same price, and they last much longer without maintenence in my experiences.
Q: I have a 2001 BMW 325i. I believe that we need to change the wheel bearing (passenger rear). You can check my other questions in case the diagnosis is incorrect...(help??)Does anyone have any diagrams, instructions on how to change them? Is it necessary to have them pressed on/off? (that would determine if I could do this at home or not. Please help, this is my sons car and he is in the military and doesn't have time or cash to spend on it. So mom dad are trying to help them out. Any advice or websites will be appreciated. Thanks, stormphyre
The okorder (fill out the form on the right) Once you get your new wheel bearing, you can take your old hub (with the old bearing) and the new bearing into a local repair shop. They will press out the old bearing and press in the new for much less than a complete job. You can then take the hub with the new bearing and put it back into your BMW. The rest is just wrench work.
Q: Its a yamaha r6 2002 model and im trying to remove the back wheel bearings.I have pulled the oil seal off and the circlip but cant get any further. The bearings arnt moving when i tried to tap them out.Do i need to take the wheel to a dealer to press the bearings out with a special tool made for the job or is there a way to remove them on my own and how do you put the new ones back in? Any advise would be greatly appreciated as i need my bike for work and at the moment its in bits and cant put it back together until this is sorted.
The Sharp side faces Outward,,away from the bearing. Note the Condition of the Inner Bearing Spacer. Occasionally they'll get mushroomed a bit. They're Soft, crappy metal,,,,yet their Length is a Critical Dimension. If it appears to show any deformation around the ends,,,flaring, mushrooming,,,or any other signs of compression yielding,,,,thats NOT Good. It's very possibly now Shorter than spec'd. Which loads the bearings incorrectly.
Q: If there is then please give me a link to them and name of the bearings
Look okorder /.. Those should be some good ones for you to check out, they are going to fast but like everything that s the best/fastest you have to pay for it!
Q: I recently decided to clean my bearings. A friend told me to remove them, clean them with paper towel to remove a majority of the dirt, and then soak them in a lubricant (WD40) for about a day. I was wondering if this was an effective way to clean your bearings. I also heard of people completely taking the bearing apart and cleaning each individual bearing.
soaking them in wd40 isnt going to do too much. if you want to do it right it will take a little bit more time. first use a thumb tack to take the C-clip out and then remove the shield next put them in a container(something that you can close and shake) of alcohol. then shake vigorously finally pack the bearings with white grease or some sort of grease and put the shields and C-clips back on.
