The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. - i've had the same bearings for about 5 years and the only reason why is because of my bearing protectors. i have never cleaned them but i need new ones now. i dont think you should clean them. you should probably buy bearing protectors and you'll be fine. my board has been waterlogged about 3 times and my bearings still survived because of the protectors. well gl skating

- the trick with bearings is that a bearing angle is different from a mathematical angle. bearing angles are measured from due north and are positive clockwise. [so east is +90 and west is -90] mathematical angles are measured from due east and are positive counter-clockwise. [so east is 0 and north is +90.] so B is almost due east of A, just a little north of it. so A must be almost due west (-90) just a little south of B (-(90+)) draw the picture, use supplementary or opposite angles to find that A is at a bearing -93 deg = 360-93 = 267 deg from B

- first of all NEVER use things like hyd. peroxide or sewing machine lube or WD-40. it clots up, collects more dirt and actually can cause more friction between the ball bearings and the shell. and absoloutly never use water, unless you want rusted shackles. only use actual skateboard lubricants, top kind out there right now is Speadcream by Bones.

- If you're a beginner I absolutely 100% reccomend the Enuff Sketchy skateboard. Comes with all that stuff you said up there, only much better quality, ABEC 7 bearings, ABEC 3's are rubbish. I learnt on it, and it was amazing. Great Pop. Smooth. Held together way better than some of the more pro one's i have had over the years. In the UK its ?54.99. If you are american then I have no idea, but i know that it's cheap and better quality than the one you want to get. Hope this helps and answers you question. (:
- Q: I recently had a repair done to my vehicle, and on the bill,they noted wheel bearings make noise. I went back in to ask the mechanic, and he stated to me that if I drive down the road I hear a roaring noise, and those are my wheel bearings. I asked him if this is something I should get taken care of right away, and he stated, no, not until it is very loud, so loud that you cannot drown the noise out with the car radio. Is this an accurate answer, or should I take care of this sooner rather than later. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what it would cost to have my front wheel bearings replaced? Thank you.
- As previously mentioned, have a competant mechanic check things out and replace the bad one, if it really is bad. I had a Ford Tempo that went 165,000 miles on the orginal bearings and they were still in good shape when I junked the car. I also put 267,000 miles on a Caravan and again, I never touched the front bearings. Right now my Topaz has over 100,000 miles with the orginal bearings, so I think I'd take it to someone for closer inspection. The constant velocity joint on the driveshaft will make noise when it's worn and is most noticable when turning and accellerating. I guess an inexperienced person could mistake CV noise for wheel bearing noise. I have replaced several of those things and when one breaks, you don't go anywhere. Like I said, have a competant mechanic check it out.
