The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. - He changes a lot of wheels when he sets up a booth at events and can pull bearings much faster than explaining how. Use a bearing tool or other object that fits inside the bearing. Just put it in as far as the bearing and lean it to a side to put force on the bearing. Make a rolling motion around a circle with your hand and the bearing will walk out of the wheel. A cruder, brute force, method is to take a screwdriver handle from a 1/4 socket set and put it into the bearing hole (it will just fit). Then twist sideways until the bearing pops out. Most better quality skates have gone to the 8mm axles and the rolling motion is a good method to learn.

- Q: My husband has a dodge 3500 extended van that he uses for work. He is a floor installer, so he carries carpet, laminate, tile, and his tools in the van daily. We bought the van just over a year ago. He has put just under 40,000 miles on it (it has a totol of 211,000), and he is now on his 3rd set of bearings on the front. The van was upgraded by adding an extra leaf to the suspension on each side by the previous owner. It is a good sturdy van. The body is in almost perfect condition and it runs great, but it seems like we are always having to replace something for the front end. Is this a common problem, or could it be because of how it was modified? Is it that the front end is taking too much of the stess of the road and the load of whatever he's carrying that day? He just replaced the bearings 3 months ago, and now they are going bad again. (and that seems to be the trend, every 3-4 months they go bad)I was just wondering.Thanks
- Use a bearing packer that you can hook to a grease gun, don't use the old hand method. Also make sure you are using grease suitable for disc brakes, this type of grease can withstand much higher temps without running out of the bearings. I use synthetic grease in my wheel bearings. Try it like this one time and see how it goes.
- Q: I have a 96 ford ranger with manual lockouts ive seen people say u need whole assembly for 2000 and up but when I look for it I can find any that will fit mine
- The 96' has regular taper bearings but it matters when getting the bearing you have to specify if your Ranger has the Dana35 or the Dana28 axle. NOTE: The 00' Ranger does have the Hub assembly style bearings.
- Q: I have Bones Reds skateboard bearings and usually just spray WD40 on/in/around them and spin them a little and then spray again and let it dry before putting them back into my wheels and then spraying them again with WD40. Is there a proper way to deep clean/lube them? Also, any instructions on how to remove the shields (because its only one-sided red). Thanks!
- i like to soak my bearings in vegtable oil if they are abec 5 or lower ,i have found that any abec higher can get ruind.i have also put grease lubricant on them and i seemed to give them a little boost also.if u go to any skate store they should carry a lub made jjust for cleaning bearings but i have not tryed it so i dont know how i works
- Q: Alright, I don't know if it would be a good Idea to put the Water shield repelling coat spray that you put on shoes, on Longboard bearings. Since I ride my longboard constantly, and I really would like to ride it in the rain. As much as I want to do that, I don't want to get my bearings rusty or at risk from them being rusty. So I was thinking if you could put water repellent spray on my bearings.
- That may me very bad for your bearings. Anything applied to bearings other than official skate bearing lubricants will damage your bearings. It may clog or mix in with the lubricants already in your bearings, which will cause it to slow down/not perform at its best.
- Q: I thought for sure it would be something with the brakes but Pep Boys says it is the wheel bearings that need to be replaced. Which would make some sense because it does shake above 60mph but I didn't think that had anything to do with stopping?
