Q: Rods amp; bearings need to be replaced in an 98 Explorer. Need a temporary fix. Thanks.
Temporary fix: Rental car.
Q: How do you find bearings?
Either at a bearing shop or with a compass
Q: I have a 1990 240sx that has an Sr20det motor. I was driving home one day and about 15 minutes from home my engine started sounding like marbles. When I got home after only 15 minutes of it sounding like that I turned it off and removed the oil pan and there were definitely pieces of rod bearing in it. My question is, after driving for only 15 minutes home, could it have more damage than just the bearings?
definately. your rods are probably bad or bent pistons may have scored the walls at an angle cuz the rods wernt straight due to the bearings, ect. time for a total rebuild or another engine.
Q: I have Bones Reds skateboard bearings and usually just spray WD40 on/in/around them and spin them a little and then spray again and let it dry before putting them back into my wheels and then spraying them again with WD40. Is there a proper way to deep clean/lube them? Also, any instructions on how to remove the shields (because its only one-sided red). Thanks!

Q: Ok so ive been skating for like 2 summers and i got a new enjoi deck for christmas with thunder trucks, spitfire wheels, and red bones bearings. the bearings were extremely har to put into the wheel and idk if its supposed to be like that or if it was because of my wheels. also the wheels dont spin completely straight on the bearings, but they almost do?
problematic matter. check out into yahoo or google. just that can assist!
Q: Its a yamaha r6 2002 model and im trying to remove the back wheel bearings.I have pulled the oil seal off and the circlip but cant get any further. The bearings arnt moving when i tried to tap them out.Do i need to take the wheel to a dealer to press the bearings out with a special tool made for the job or is there a way to remove them on my own and how do you put the new ones back in? Any advise would be greatly appreciated as i need my bike for work and at the moment its in bits and cant put it back together until this is sorted.

Q: My front driver's side wheel bearings need replaced. The current wheel bearings are open (visible when the hub is removed). When I look for replacement parts, OES and otherwise, the bearings offered are enclosed/canister style. This looks like it won't mate up properly with the existing hub. The auto parts store suggested removing the ring from the hub to make the new bearings fit. I'm concerned that doing so will irreparably damage the hub. To complicate things even more, it looks like the only style of hub available- OES included- are the type that work with the open bearings. Suggestions? Anyone ever had to modify a wheel hub? Advice is appreciated.
This is the correct bearing. Its called a unit bearing and must be pressed in with a hydraulic press. Most front wheel drive cars use this set -up. A little tip: If the driver side is bad it likely the passenger soon to follow ,have them both done at the same time. To save some money remove the hubs from the car yourself.Take them to a shop have the bearings pressed. They should only charge about 35.00 each.
Q: Wipeout/laid down my bike 2000 miles ago. Yesterday, I checked my crank, a little lose so I tightened it up. Awhile later a kind of light click clunk sound/feel when the right crank is a the 3 o'clock position. Even before every once in awhile down stairs there's a noise at no real position that sounds like my crank hitting the kick stand, but I have no kickstand. Is it the bearings or race going bad. I've had the similar click clunk sound on other bikes but never any other problems. Also, how long before it goes out, planning on a long trip in a month or 2?
try gutting your cranks... one or more of your bearings might have fallen out and is now inside your cranks. (if your bearings aren#x27;t sealed. try using a different kind of grease. also note to clean your bearings and crank housings while you have them out.
Q: Can I change the camshaft in my small block chevy 350 without changing the cam bearings? The motor is appears fairly fresh.
if i was you i would replace the bearings if your cams are worn already its only gonna do they same thing in time.im having the same problem with my mazda waited to fix now i have to replace both heads
