Q:OK, so our ball bearings on our 2003 Hyundai tib went out pretty bad!! We bought new ones from auto zone and replaced them, within a week the bearings were destroyed again, so we brought our car to the base auto shop. The told us the bearings we bought were bad. They replaced them and we just spent $405 for them to replace them, put a new tire on and to do an alignment. We picked up the car monday! It is now only Thursday, 3 days later and the car seems to be making a grinding sound like it was before the 1st time the bearings went out. What are the odds we got 2 bad bearings? We do know that eventually the axle needs to be replaced but 2 mechanics have told us that it will be months before it NEEDS to be done! I just don't understand. The car is in fair condition and worth around 3,9500 as a trade in. We will prob. just trade it in soon bc it's not worth it. Has anyone else had this problem!??
there are things to consider here. like are you getting them in straight and if they are tapered bearings they have to be packed before installing them and if they are adjustable maybe your adjusting them too tight.
Q:are swingarm bearing and linkage bearings the same or do u have to buy 2 different kits
Linkage okorder /
Q:idk if yhe bearings will fit or is it like all lonboard bearings are universal and can fit in any longboard wheel. also can you show me some bearings that fit in theselinks WHEELS
all bearings are universally sized. any longboard bearings you get will fit the wheels fine
Q:I know it all depends on preference, but is it worth upgrading from ABEC 5s to ABEC 7s?
They are half the price of a full on Swiss bearing and with almost the same exact performance.
Q:What is the best deck, bearings so on so on. I am a begginger. Also what addvice do you have to me.
automobiles, wheels, bearings, hardware, grip tape. If this is your relatively first time getting on a skateboard, i % to propose which you purchase your safetly issues like helmet, pads and such in case you do no longer % your physique to get sore.
Q:i have bones reds bearings and i dont know if there abec 5 or abec 7 tell me what you think?
bones makes many types of bearings. Some are ABEC rated and the better ones are not. The ABEC rating is for vibration in high speed machines that run at speeds similar to skating over 200 mph. They are not the best design for skating but companies make a lot of them for other reasons and it is cheaper to get them than a design that is custom made. Bones, Twin Cam, Zero Drag, and some other companies have custom designs for their better bearings.
Q:This is a technical question depending small losses for example in clean room applications (every particle matters...)
I assume you have tried shielded bearings, where the grease is contained inside covers that prevent its loss? Or possibly you do not have the funds to replace the bearings? Etc. I do not know the size of your pump/motor or whatever the bearing is on. I will tell you I have seen in an industrial setting on what I would call a small pump, they actually put a bag around the bearing housing to catch grease. Of course, the shaft ended at the housing so the bag did not have to come in contact with the rotating assembly. You could probably get more useful answers if you re-ask your question describing the size and physical configuration of the bearings and their housing.
Q:if someone has the LUCKY ABEC 7 bearings.....the black part/side of it and the silver side of it....which one goes outward? does it matter? if it does... please tell me how because i dont want to screw up my board. THE ONE FROM ZUMIEZ... with the green/silver/black tin
if they look the same it wont, im pretty sure its silver side out. but to put them in just place them in the wheel, put the spacer, and squeeze. simple as that. =)
Q:should i put a little grease inside the wheel so the bearings slide in easier? they really dont want to go in strait. should i lay the bearing in the hole and put the nut on and tighten the bearing into the wheel? Help....
Do not put grease, grease will wreak your bearings. The best thing to do is buy a skate tool that can help you insert them. If you dont want to do that simply put the bearing on the wheel (where it needs to go) and put the wheel on the truck with the bearing still on the wheel facing the truck. Then just simply push down on the wheel and the bearing will pop into place.
Q:I recently had a repair done to my vehicle, and on the bill, they noted wheel bearings make noise. I went back in to ask the mechanic, and he stated to me that if I drive down the road I hear a roaring noise, and those are my wheel bearings. I asked him if this is something I should get taken care of right away, and he stated, no, not until it is very loud, so loud that you cannot drown the noise out with the car radio. Is this an accurate answer, or should I take care of this sooner rather than later. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what it would cost to have my front wheel bearings replaced? Thank you.
This is true and NO this is a lie. All bearings 'bear' the weight, friction, load and other variables between two surfaces. Most often moving parts. Altho' bearings are made of hard and durable materials that are well lubricated or easily lubed. Your bearings are between the moving axle and stationary hub FWD or stationary axle and moving hub on rear of FWD. Bearings get 'noisy' because of wear or lack of lubrication. If you do not hear them. then they probably just need packing.[with grease] If you hear a bearing the noise is from metal to metal contact.! They will get louder and may cause more damage to other parts. But NO, don't wait until you can't hear the radio. HE WAS ONLY JOKING!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! BRILLIANT!!!!
