1.The drawn cup needle roller bearings are needle roller bearings with the deep drawn, thin-walled outer ring with either an open end or closed end.

2. The bearings are characterized by a very low sectional height and high load carrying capacity

3. The bearings are typically used in applications where the housing bore can not be used as a raceway for a needle roller and cage assembly but where a very compact and ecnomical bearing arrangement is required.

4. Typically, drawn cup needle roller bearings have a single row of rollers. However, wide sizes incorporate two needle roller and cage assemblies immediately asjacent to each other with a lubrication hole in the outer ring.

Product Applications:

Needle roller bearings are mainly used in car engines, transmissions, compressors, cranes, etc.

Q:I know it all depends on preference, but is it worth upgrading from ABEC 5s to ABEC 7s?
They are half the price of a full on Swiss bearing and with almost the same exact performance.
Q:I have a 1992 Camaro RS, LO3 305 TBI V8, Automatic, 125k miles. It had the oil changed awhile ago, not sure what they put in it, but when I picked it up, the engine was ticking (sounded like a lifter or failing oil pump). I've driven it a few thousand miles and it runs good and strong, but I've always noticed that the oil pressure guage reads low, between 5-25 psi. I'm concerned my bearings are shot. It normally starts up at 25psi and after driving 10-20 minutes, it reads 5-10 psi, and the ticking becomes slower. The engine never kills though. Could it just be a case of a bad sending unit, with to light of a weight of oil, or bad bearings? What are some common signs of bad bearing? The motor does not knock.
if your bearings are bad your engine would be knocking and would soon stop. it sounds like your bearings are worn which would give you low oil pressure. I would run the oil made for older engines that have wear like yours.and by the way try not to beat it to much it'll last a little longer
Q:Ive put some 18 wheels on my car (which shouldnt be a problem because I know people with bigger ones on a golf) as soon as they went on, the car makes a howling noise from the front, a bit like a wheel bearings gone, or they are catching on something? There are no scuff marks on the wheels or tyres and I got a mechanic to check the bearings and they are fine, It sounds worse when the car is slowing down, ive also had the wheels checked and balanced, there is nothing wrong with the alloys but one of the tyres was slightly mis-shapen but ive been told thats not the problem, any ideas please? Dont feel safe driving it until I know whats causing itThanks
Hi, the front wheel bearings on the golf's are not a tapered type and are very hard to check for freeplay / wear when car is jacked up...I have worked for VW for 30 years and changed many of the front pressed in type bearings....the only sure way of testing which side bearing is noisy is to spin the wheel up to a high speed with car jacked up and feel the bottom of the shock behind the wheel hub were the hub is bolted to it, if the bearing is worn you will feel a grinding sensation through the hub. This can be very dangerous if you are not careful....we used a mobile wheel balancing machine to spin each wheel up while, it was jacked up on one side... I would not try this if I was you with no training...Get a 2nd opinion from your local VW specialist or come and see me if you are in NW UK...
Q:What type of needle roller bearings is 62 (extra) *30 (inside) *28 (high)?! Thank you
Needle roller bearings are cylindrical roller bearings, the roller is slender, the cross-section is smaller, and the bearing capacity of the load is higher, so it is suitable for radial installation size limited supporting effect. Needle roller bearings are equipped with a thin and long roller (roller length is 3~10 times the diameter, generally less than 5mm diameter), radial structure is compact.A complete bearing code is composed of the basic code number plus one or more supplementary codes. All standard bearing SKF have certain basic types, there are usually three, four or five numbers, or letters and numbers, the first number or the first letters said bearing type, followed by two digits identifies the size of ISO series.Because the model of needle roller bearings is relatively complex, only a few specific classification and model control of needle roller bearings are introduced here:1, centripetal needle roller and cage assembly (type K)2, outer ring with double lock ring needle roller bearings (NA, NKI, RNA, NK)3. Single row needle roller bearings with double retaining rings (NA, NKI, RNA, NK)4. Double row needle roller bearings with double retaining rings (NA, RNA)5, stamping outer ring needle roller bearings (HK type, BK type)The bearing has low cost and large carrying capacity, and is suitable for the supporting structure with limited size of installation.
Q:I would have guessed ball bearings, but a brown liquid just poured out of the shaft and it looks like oil and smells burned. I'm sure it's not a good thing either way -- any ideas what it is?
The answer to your questions are yes they use oil and bearings.Without bearings it wouldn't last very long and without the oil to keep the bearings lubricated it would last even less.
Q:I got my car alligned and suddelt every time I turn it makes an awful groaning noise. I believe it's the bearings but I JUST had them done a year ago and hardly drive... Could the allignment have caused this? A year seems like such a short time for bearings to last.
yes
Q:Is it possible to replace some from the oil pan? Please dont say i need a new engine etc. im only concerned about the bearings.
Yes, although doing it right is tedious. Remove the spark plugs so you can move the pistons by hand. Keep track of which rod and which orientation the caps come from. The new bearings really should be plastigaged (green Plastigage, available cheap at auto parts stores) to verify the clearance. The first source has a good description of how to use it - be sure not to rotate the crank with the Plastigage in place or the piece of Plastigage will be ruined. Remember the bearings will look wrong until they are clamped in place - they will look like they are too large. If the crank journals are shiny you should have no problem; if they have black deposits remove them with 600 grit sandpaper shoeshine rag fashion. Take your time; get it right. Before rotating the crank always make sure the connecting rods are out of the way so they don't get jammed. When in doubt, push them up. !!!Never let any pistons come down so far a ring could pop out of the cylinder bore!!! I don't think it is likely but it would be awful. Get pre-lube and put it on the bearings before final assembly. When it is done, let the engine idle at least 15 minutes before driving, and drive it at modest speeds an hour or so before taking it on the freeway.
Q:My 2000 4x4 Lifted Ford Excursion has a clicking noise when I am driving, on the front driver side. I can take my foot off the gas an it is still there no matter the speed. I am thinking it is a bad Hub/Bearing? How would I know for SURE that is what it is? Any tips on what to look for if I jack it up? Thanks.
Jack up the vehicle and check the bearing for play from top to bottom....
Q:wats the difference between abec 7 and abec 3 bearings?
abec 7 is a smoother ride with better caps to protect ur bearings and makes it go faster....however abec 5s are about as good as 7 and are cheaper...BUT get the 15 $ bones reds theyre great and are very cheap...might last a little shorter but are a lot cheaper than abec 7s or 5s
Q:Can someone tell me what are the best type and brands of skateboard bearings.
What size shoe are you? This can be a big factor in choosing the right board. I'm a (UK) size 12, and therefore my perfect board size is 8. I'd say 7.5 is ideal for beginners. It's all I used to skate, and eventually you will outgrow it as your tricks get higher and more technical. You will know when it's time for a 7.6 because you'll go throw a stage of snapping lots of 7.5s. They are great for flip tricks, and the basics so yeah. For risers, go Independent. They're perfect. For bearings I'd say Bones reds. Bearings have an 'Abec' rating- that is how fast they spin. Beginners should get no more than an Abec 3, which is what Bones reds are. Many kids seem to think the higher the Abec, the better they will skate. It's not the case. If you're unconfident, Abec 7s will cause you lots of injuries. I've had my Reds 2.5 years and they still zoom. From your truck list definately go for Destructo. Steer clear of Royal and Independent, they are very prone to Kingpin snaps. Other good choices are Venture and Thunder. Your first deck is something which really comes down to personal preference. Some people may recommend 'Flip'- I listened to someone who told me that and snapped mine the day I got it on a fakie heelflip. I thought it may have been a bad model, so had another Flip about a year later, and snapped it on a hardflip within a week. But hey, others have lasted them months. As a beginner, your first board should last you a while, so I'd say go for a Blind 9 lives deck. They have 9 pieces of ply wood instead of 7, and mine lasted so long that it was too small to skate. Hope that helped, and enjoy yourself!
