1.The drawn cup needle roller bearings are needle roller bearings with the deep drawn, thin-walled outer ring with either an open end or closed end.
2. The bearings are characterized by a very low sectional height and high load carrying capacity
3. The bearings are typically used in applications where the housing bore can not be used as a raceway for a needle roller and cage assembly but where a very compact and ecnomical bearing arrangement is required.
4. Typically, drawn cup needle roller bearings have a single row of rollers. However, wide sizes incorporate two needle roller and cage assemblies immediately asjacent to each other with a lubrication hole in the outer ring.

- Q: ok I took apart my bearings, cleaned the shields with water, put about 2 drops of lube in each after letting the bearings sit in a 50% alcohol solution for 10 minutes, put it all back together after drying off the stuff and lubing it. Just rode it today and it seems that the bearngs are making noise.... is this normal???
- the proper way to clean bearing is to soak them in karosene and then pack them w lube/ grease the alchol proally dried em out
- Q: It has a clunk in the front left wheel when driving and when sitting naturally (not jacked up) i can pull on the top of the wheel and it has a loose feel to it and the lug nuts are tight. so i was wondering if it has the wheel bearing that would need to be changed or like a axle bearing needing changed. the difference being that i think you would have to pull the axle to change an axle bearing and the wheel bearing you would need only to pull the tire and rotor. Keep in mind it is a 4wd. thanks.
- yes a 1996 dodge does have wheel bearing. It is a sealed unit and and u will have to remove the axle shaft nut and the brake caliper. it not hard to change. when u get it it will have new lug nut studs and come all together. but the main thing to keep in mind DO NOT try to move r run the truck with out the axle shaft back on the front will because if u do u will mess the bearings up and they will not warranty it.
- Q: people always say there bearings make them go faster but i dont think this is true. in my experience its more the wheel you ride that affects speed. size hardness are both factors but bearings just dont make a significant difference. as long as they spin freely and smooth it doesnt matter whether there swiss ceramics or abec 3 because the extra friction in the threes isnt enough to slow you down. unless the threes are rusted and dont spin. is this true? would others agree? ppeople seem to think the bearings have engines or something. i just use 18 dollar redz and keep them in good shape and they work fine
- it does effect speed and ill tell you why.. i tested once for a class project on which bearings when broken into go faster... bone swiss, abec 7 bearins (i think rush), bones ceramics and bones reds. abec 7s- they run for about 14-17 seconds if you get 3 good pushes.. bones reds- they run for about 19-22 seconds in 3 good pushes bones swiss- run for about 26-35 seconds in 3 good pushes bones ceramics- runs for about 32-36 seconds in a 3 good pushes.. see it was an experiment in the 7th grade now im in 9th... we did 3 test runs on each bearings first it was the abec 7s, reds, swiss and then ceramics... so yess bearings do effect your speed... but i use reds cause there cheep and i dont wanna spend 90 bucks on ceramics that will break on a 10 stair and bones that give u too much speed when ur doing a simple 5 stair
- Q: Ok so ive been skating for like 2 summers and i got a new enjoi deck for christmas with thunder trucks, spitfire wheels, and red bones bearings. the bearings were extremely har to put into the wheel and idk if its supposed to be like that or if it was because of my wheels. also the wheels dont spin completely straight on the bearings, but they almost do?
- you didn't get the bearings seated in the wheels correctly. Take the wheels off the trucks slide one wheel back on the axle press firmly and evenly to seat the bearing. You might need someone who can give it a bit more muscle flip the wheel over and repeat. do this for all 4 wheels. If there still is a problem, take them to a skate shop. They have a bearing press that can install the bearings.

- Q: I bought a bike from a guy it's a 79 with a broken chain and he said he would have to do a conversion because he couldn't find the original chain. Well after that I went to ride it home and the rear wheel started wobbling back and forth, the bearings had gone out but the guy said he rode it for like 30 miles that morning to test out the new chain. I'm about to put new bearings on it but I was wondering if it's a possibility that the new chain threw the bearings off, etc. it's a 32 year old bike and everything that went wrong with it was origianl with only 17k miles
- Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer. Japanese bikes of that era used 3 bearings in the rear wheel. 2 bearings in the wheel hub and one bearing in the sprocket's flange, with a spacer between the sprocket flange and the wheel hub. If that spacer was not installed, that could cause the bearings to prematurely fail. Unless the chain was adjusted improperly (to tight) it's unlikely the bearings would ware out from installing a new chain. Before removing the rear wheel, check the chain slack to see if the previous owner installed the chain properly.

- All skate bearings are the same size. Bones reds are great bearings because if they are broken in enough, they have spun as long as my bones swiss on my old mystery board. Some other great bearings are black panthers and pigs checks bearings.
