- Q: I am thinking of buying Kindle fire (e-Reader) worth Rs. 5,999. - Q: i am trying to backup my data from blackberry torch 9800 to my PC. i bought a USB cable from walmart which is good for smart phones to charge them. i am using that cable and blackberry desktop manager. but when i connect my phone with laptop using that cable it starts charging but desktop manager does not recognize my phone and it still says connect you phone. also when i connect my phone using that cable i dont see any options on my phone like 1. charge. 2. mass storage etc. or any other options. what do you think, i am using a wrong cable? or i need to do some settings in my phone?
- Its the wrong cable. You need a data cable for blackberry not a charging cable. Data won't go over a charging cable. It should say charging or usb when you connect. You need a bb data cable.
- Q: I used the vista cable for back in the day when I was suffering through Vista, but now I have Windows 7 and need to transfer data to my new Windows 7 laptop. Will the old Vista cable work (does it even matter what operating system the cable is supposedly for?)

- You can start the New Hardware Wizard from the Control Panel found in the Start Menu On my XP machine it's labeled Add Hardware

- If you go to circuit city or best buy and tell them you need a crossover cable (aka a bridge cable which basically looks like an ethernet cable but it's not a standard ethernet cable) they could point you to what you need. They're pretty cheap usually, about 10 or 15 dollars. To do it the way you're talking about, you would need to buy some software that's WAY too expensive just for what you're trying to do. Your best bet would be to just go to the store and ask for a crossover cable. Cheaper and alot easier.

- Hm. you could try using both ethernet ports on the back of your main PC, bridging the connection, then using the network setup wizard. might work

- ok a usb is a cable that is use to transfer data to your phone or memmory card and that wont damage or some like that to your phone. about OKorder cd i think thats a good deal if you dont have one

- first you have to install your data cable. a cd is available with the data cable. after installing the data cable, when you join the data cable with your mobile a removable drive appear in my computer. if it is appear then simply just click on to the removable drive and you are able to see some folders over there. from the listed folder you have just paste your favourite songs into one of the folder. that's it. please if you have some information regarding free domain registration and free web hosting or anything related this please help me. mail me: .in
- Q: I have a laptop that is an '02 model (I think) but it is running Windows xp SP-3 just like my desktop. I have a crossover ethernet cable (it's black and it isn't the normal size; it's the smaller size heads). Anyways, I was wondering how I could transfer a file (well more like a program) through the cable because I don't have anything big enough to hold 3GB of stuff. - Are you sure you have a crossover Ethernet cable? Check to make sure its not a phone cable. Attach one end of it to your desktop, and the other end to your laptop. You can use Windows Easy Transfer, or just transfer the files using Network. Make the files you want to transfer Public so that the other PC can see it, then start transferring. If it really is a crossover Ethernet cable, just plug it into the wireless router, and the other end to the PC you want connected to the internet.
