Q: wires have been cut and i have 4 wires i dont know what do.what colors are for what?
If your trying to wire a aftermarket radio into your car just go to best buy or any other car audio dealer and buy a wiring harness. It plugs directly into your stock wiring harness and on the opposite side has the correct colors of your aftermarket harness that came with the deck. All you have to do is color match and crimp.
Q: What would the wire size be for a 3 phase 4 wire - 480/277V - 400A panelboard. Would it be (3) 600mcm w/ (1) 1/0 ground?
Well not quite: 1. The panelboard is 4 wire therefore the (3) in the description would be (4). The 4th wire is for the neutral and required if you are using the 277. Otherwise the panelboard is a 3 wire board and no 277 2. 600 kcmil copper with 75°C insulation is able to carry 420 A as long as the ambient temperature < 86°F (30°C) and are installed by themselves (not in a raceway/cable tray with other power conductors). If the conductors are aluminum, the temperature is hot, the installation has multiple conductors in the same raceway/cable tray, or the distance is of sufficient length resulting in unacceptable voltage drop, the cable must be derated -- read you must increase the size to 750 kcmil or increase the insulation rating to 90°C The ground conductor should be of sufficient size
Q: I have a proj in tle class about solid wire joints and splices and i cant find a picture of 18 of the splices / joints we did at school we needed to like insulate the wires and twist em with each other help!

Q: I'm trying to fix a light fixture for a friend. Her father-in-law gummed it up. At the fixture, there are 3 white wires soldered to a single wire. There are 3 black individual wires and one red wire. There are three switches that control the light. If I hook one of the black and the 3 white to the light, the light stays on constantly. If I hook either of the two other black individually, nothing comes on period.I'm pretty much at a loss. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
USA Sounds to me that what you have is 1 two conductor (black/white) cable as a power feed, 1 two conductor tap taking power somewhere else, and 1 three conductor (black, white, red) taking power to and back from a switch. All the whites get joined together, with a pigtail to the light. Make sure you have a tester. Find the black wire that is always energized, and mark it. Find the black and red that are in the same cable; mark them. I think what you have is they ran power to the light instead of the switch, then took the power down to the switch on the black conductor, and back from the switch to the light on the red conductor. Take the black that is always hot, and splice it to the other two blacks. Do not take it to the light. Hook the red to the light. If this does not work, reverse the red and black that go to the switch. This will take power to the switch on the red, and back from the switch on the black.
Q: i had a wired linksys router. can a linksys wireless network usb receive signal from the wired router.
If your Router is not a wireless router then deffinitely your Links wireless Usb Wouldn't work
Q: hey im wiring up a headunit to my L300 van. The factory headunit wasnt there and im having trouble connecting which colour wires to the factory colour wires. if anyone knows which coulours go to what would be much appreciatedcheers.
Hi does anyone knows where the stereo looms connect back to .i.e. fused?
Q: one single coil pickup (white wire and bare wire)and one volume pickupidk how to do it thought it would be simple but obviously notdiagrams would be awesome
Here's okorder /... The single coil will be very similar. You'll note that the humbucker has 4 wires, but two of them are soldered together. You can ignore them and wire your single coil like the other 2 wires. Bare wire goes to ground. White wire goes to the outside lug of the volume pot. Center lug of volume pot goes to output jack.....the part that connects to the tip of the plug. Opposite lug of volume pot goes to ground Outside ring of input jack goes to ground.
Q: My house is currently wired using Cat-5 lines. If I were to replace the Cat-5 wiring with Cat-6 wiring, would I see an increase in my DSL speed?
you have to have speical equipment to use cat-6, so no if you did that it would still be the same as using cat-6
Q: I got molds done a while back for my finishing wires on my braces. I'm getting them Tuesday, but I'm not really sure what the difference is between finishing wires and the wires I have now. So I'd be delighted if someone could explain:) Also, after you get finishing wires, about how much longer is it until you get your braces off? And, would you recommend the wire retainers, or the clear ones? Why? Thanks in advance!
Finishing wires are for the final stage of braces. They are pretty strong wires that snap tightly into your brackets so the orthodontist can finely control the teeth and line everything up nicely. I can't say how long until you get your braces off...that's kind of a case by case basis. Typically the wire retainers are better than the clear ones from a hygiene perspective. They can also be adjusted unlike the plastic ones.
Q: For my science project, need about 3 feet of copper wire...approx how much will that cost me? I want the wires to be pretty thin :)
no. romex, household wiring, can be as little as $0.57/ft and i bett you don't really need 3 wire, 8 gauge romex for your project...
