Q: my MOBO has a 4 pin connector, but my power supply came with an 8 pin power cable, so what do i do? Also my MOBO has a SATA1 slot by itself, and two SATA slots called SATA 2 and SATA 4. The SATA 1 is by itself, and SATA 2 and 4 are next to each other. so which SATA slot do i plug opticaldrive and HDD in?: This is about power connector -

Q: I had gave my amp a 16 volt input, then there was a spark which came from fuses that got burnt. I then replaced the fuses, rewired it nd gave it a 12 volt input it came on and went on protection. So i left it aside and after a few days i tryd connecting it again but this time it came on and it was burning the power cables no matter what guage wire i used. Any idea why its doing that?: Take it to a repair shop

Q: So I have this monitor that only has ONE port on it, which is a USB cable slot. Typically you would connect it to a laptop, and the USB cord also supplies it power at the same time display connection.: I'd really like to see what monitor you're talking about, and make sure that it has nothing except a USB port. Q: I need to know if the power light on the amp will turn on if I don't have the RCA cables hooked up or if you have to have them hooked up just to get power to the amp? Q: My stereo in my car is cutting out (powering off and on again) on high volumes. I'm trying to determine if it's my amp/sub-woofer or not. I switch off my amp with my remote power switch (the blue cable switch) and I still get the cut out. Is this conclusive enough to indicate that the problem is not with my amp/subwoofer?: Ok, so this is what your going to do to test this. First unscrew your remote switch and place a wire from the positive terminal from your amp to the remote switch on your amp and then the amp should power on. now if you have the same problem it is most likely that it is not that the remote switch is having problems but probably your sub is not matched with your amp and has greater ohms than your amp is capable of therefore sending it into protect mode which would make sense since you say it is when you turn up the volume. I wish the best of luck : ) P.S check your wattage if your amp draws more than 600+ maybe even 500 your battery may not be able to power it so maybe if all else fails see if you can get your hands on a capacitor.

In fact, it wouldn't matter if it were RCA and the power wire, that's a myth. I quote, Technically, running your RCA wires and power wires shouldn't cause any problems and can be dubbed a myth. However, a lot of people will disagree. For induction between power and signal wire to occur, a form of AC (with some current) must be introduced on the DC power wire. The added signal through the power cable doesn't have enough current to do this. Alternator whine comes from poor (or damaged) filter circuits in the HU. A induction type filter to the HU is an easy cure.

Q: I've got a 1967 Sears-Kenmore sewing machine with a power cable that a cat chewed through (previous owner). The damage is near the end of the cable and the copper wires are showing.
