Q: I found an old Karavan flatbed utility trailer and am currently converting it into a snowmobile trailer (2 place). Me and a friend riped all the wire off of the trailer and completely rewired it. No matter how we configure it, the lights aren't coordinated. If we hit the left blinker in the car, all the lights flash(like the hazards are on). Right blinker works fine. we wired it first from the diagram on the karavan site. Now once we think about it, they have us wiring the ground into the light. so we searched the web and found this layout.
The problem is the difference in 4 to 6 wire . Go to an auto parts store and get the converter . It wires into your car between the plug and the tail-lights .After that , no problem with older trailer wiring .
Q: Found some electrical wiring resonably priced on craigslist but it says -----8 gauge (AWG), 3 wire, direct burry electrical cableDOES THAT MEAN ITS 3/0 WIRE? Because I need 3/0 wire direct burriedI am looking to buy some extra 3/0 wire and found some on craigslist for a reasonable price..
By code, if you use direct burial cable, you'll have to bury the cable deeper than you would if it were in conduit (PVC). There are several different factors that determine how deep you need to go if direct burial is what you're going to stick with. The voltage your supplying, is it covered by soil only, will it be paved over or covered with a concrete surface for any reason, etc. 23 yr journeyman electrician.
Q: I know what spark plugs are and where they are... but not sure what is meant by wires...For example checking/replacing spark plugs and wires to see if a problem is fixed..Are wires what hookup to the spark plugs from the (distributor?)
they are not called wires ,spark plug leads or ht leads , ht stand for high tension leads wich are mostly silcon based corbon fiber
Q: i had a wired linksys router. can a linksys wireless network usb receive signal from the wired router.
there's a small RESET button on the the decrease back of the router. it quite is probable the process the subject you would be wanting some thing alongside the strains of a paper clip to push the little button in (its fairly small and recessed). interior the set up mode circulate into stepped forward settings and there could be a scroll down cursor to get the right placing.
Q: sence my stock head unit has no remote wire, when I hook the amp up, will it still drain the battery? I have everything connected, but the deck does not have no remote wire, and if it does I have no idea how to locate it. I am worried it will continue to run the amp when the car is off and drain the battery. Am I worried for nothing? If it will continue to drain the battery, how do I prevent this from happening?
use a test light ($5), you just need to connect the remote wire to a wire that is only hot when the car is on, (like the ignition power wire -not constant- going to the radio) and on factory radios it is usually a wire that is made to send the signal to the power antenna
Q: (a) A copper wire and an iron wire have the same length and same diameter and carry same current I. In which wire is the electric field greater?(b) Can a 1mm in diameter copper wire have the same resistance as a tungsten wire of the same length?[Use p(copper)=1.7x10^-8 ohm meters, p(iron)=1x10^-8 ohm meters, p(tungsten)=5.6x10^-8 ohm meters]
a Since copper has higher resistivity than iron, the voltage drop in the copper wire with the same dimensions as the iron wire is greater, meaning more Volts/meter in the copper wire so the E field is greater in the copper wire. b Resistance is proportional to length, resistivity, and inversely proportional to diameter. Increasing the diameter could compensate for a material with higher resistivity. So the answer is yes.
Q: I have a copper colored wire, a black wire, a red wire and white wire in the little box in the wall?? please help.
Heres okorder /... I hope this hleps.
Q: It every download on lime-wire basic free and is the down load of lime-wire basic free is lime wire really illegal thanks
Lime Wire is LEGAL.. just not the illegal content you download on it. Also, just because somebody buys LimeWire Pro doesn't mean it is legal to download songs.. The chance of getting caught is low though, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Q: I live in a condo and Im trying to wire a new light. When I wire it, it stays on constantly despite hitting the switch. The wiring Im dealing with is as follows. At the switch on the wall, there is a red wire, brown wire connected to the switch. A green wire connected to the box in the walll behind the switch. In the ceiling there is a brown wire, green wire, and a white wire wrapped with an unstripped red wire.Coming from the fixture are black, white, green.Ive tried connected black-brown, white-white green-green but the light stays on no matter what. Also tried white-brown, black-white, green to bolt. Still the same thing happens. Not sure what to do.
Get a volt meter and check the voltage in each wire with the switch on and the switch off, will tell you which wire is getting power from the switch. This wire will then attach to your black. I would try black to red, white to brown and green to green.
Q: Cant find were to tap the wiring for the puddle lights. Can some one please help!
One wire goes to the frame, the other to a 2 wire toggle switch (if you're using a light up switch it will have 3 wires) inside the cab, then connect the toggle switch to your positive battery terminal (or to the live wire going into your steering column if you want them to be switched on when the key is turned on)
