Q: Hello, My dog chewed my carpet in my apartment in a few places. I dont think it needs completely replaced but I want to pass the inspection when I move. It is quite obvious in a couple of places and we just dont want to be held liable for whole apartment replacement. And, if it were my carpet your pet ruined/damaged, I'd likely ask for it to be replaced- same condition as when you moved in- with normal wear and tear. Q: I have a shag carpet and can't manage to vacuum it clean even with a flat vacuum brush. Is there any product that can use to clean it thoroughly?: Is shag carpet coming back? They used to have shag carpet rakes that pulled the pile up before vacuuming, and then again after vacuuming. Don't know if they still do or not but check with Lowe's, Home Depot and ask.

I am just not sure what color would work.: Well since you have patterns on your Duvet covers already, i think it best to get a rug that is plain. instead of going for patterns go for textures (e.g a shaggy rug) any light colour would go good such as beige, white, cream or even a grey stone colour to match the headboard, no pattern in my opinion but it is your room! Q: We just got new carpeting last year in our family room, and are driveway is flat. It rained really hard three days ago, and the water came into the house and got are carpet soaked! We borrowed a carpet cleaner that sucked up about six buckets of water, but now its dry enough that it isnt sucking anything else up, but the carpet is still wet. It also smells like mildew in our house now. I sprayed Febrez, but the smell keeps coming back. Any ideas on how to get the rest of the water, and the smell out of the carpet?: It is probably ruined. See if your homeowner's insurance covers it.
