Q: Anyone have any experience with a Dyson?: I use a dyson on my floors and it works wonderful, though i don't use the power head on the hard wood floors and the rotation on the brush can cause damage but the normal head that comes with it is fantastic. Some vaccums have ranges where they are suited for pet hairs I am not sure about dyson as I don't have pets in the house, but with 2 girls in the hosue with long long hair it helps to have a good vaccum and my choice is dyson!

Q: *Is there: Blowing air into it is one way, but I took my vacuum and a brush attachment and sucked the dust OUT of it. Seemed more logical. I did the same with the innards that you can access with just a screw driver, because the were pretty dusty, too. When you blow dust around, it just ends up somewhere else, sucking it out is more foolproof IMO.

Q: What is the point of this, if you are more than likely not going to be vacuuming at night? I've heard people say that it is to quot;know if a specific area is cleanbut I mean seriously... I don't think you really need lights do you?? Just vacuum during the day perhaps? Works for me and I don't have a dirty house.: Maybe it's like a deer in the headlights. those dust bunnies just freeze when you shine a light on them.

Q: Who has owned and recommends Electrolux vacuum cleaners?: I bought a Guardian Aerus Electrolux. The Electrolux at Sears is a Fancy Kenmore with the Electrolux label. The true Electrolux has to have the Aerus Logo. Check with dealers. At first I loved mine but then it started losing suction. I had it serviced but it was never the same. I would recommend the SEBO it is a hospital grade vacuum and I like it SOOO much better! I have three kids with allergies and a dog... I had to have a good vacuum and I have owned Kirbie's, Electrolux, Stand up traded it up right away, for the Guardian, after a few years hated it it was bulky and lost suction, traded up for a Sebo and WOW I love it... And it is a stand up. But the suction is just as good as a canister.. Usually Canisters have more suction.... My mother also loves her Sebo and she has 4 dogs. We are corky and one day bored we argued over who had the better vacuum... Needless to say she won... I used the Guardian and then she went over the same spot with the Sebo and I was impressed on how much stuff she was able to pick up!!!

Q: So we see here and there that bagless vacuum cleaners are better for environment but what are the reasons behind it like in more clear details other than the basics (i.e. less waste, manufacturing, paper use).....: Because it doesn't create trash, and trash is bad for the universe.

Q: I know that 'commercial' refers to business applications, so I'm not looking for general information but details). Are the terms used in accordance with industry standards, or are they unique to each company? One company, Aerus LLC (formerly Electrolux Corporation), mentioned that the only differences between its commercial and household vacuum cleaners is that the former have less warranty protection, have longer cords, and do not feature above the floor attachments or headlights. Nothing was said about construction materials being different.: There may be no industry standard for those terms, the sales department of a company may have some say in how things get named, I would guess Heavy Duty may not be as touch as equipment actually meant for Commercial use. A household vacuum cleaner meant for Light Duty for example, might burn out of run continuously for an extended time.

Q: I have waited a year or so to finally get my hands on a hand vacuum cleaner because my mom said we needed to get a good one. Well she finally bought one, but she only bought it because it was ON SALE. I don't know much about hand vacuum cleaners, except this one SUCKS.It's by Sunbeam and it's called quot;Star Elite.It doesn't have a lot of power, only has a small opening to collect dirt etc (1quot;x 1cm) and is horrible at picking up stray pieces of hair. It only also works for 15 minutes and then it has to be charged for 15 hours.The main problem out of all that I have is the lack of power and horribly ability to pick up stray hair off the ground.Does anyone know a hand vacuum cleaner that is certainly better than this?: Try a Shark vacuum.
