- Q: Recently I was sent a link to Yahoo answers from a client who was shocked to read the misinformation albeit well meaning answers to many questions about carpet dyeing. Carpet dyeing is a very specialized field and few have mastered the technology. I want to ask after the nay-sayers have read the correct information, if they have finally achieved the correct education to venture any kind of answer about carpet dyeing. Whether stain, spot, wrong color, outdated color, or simply color changes all can be done with perfection by a carpet dyeing expert. This is NOT a do-it-yourself type project for property owners. We have corrected many unsuccessful attempts by carpet owners and carpet cleaners who try to dye on their own. Please tell me you experience and I'll give you the correct answers. We have dyed millions of yards of carpets during the last 20 years in more than 200 locations in USA and 8 other countries. I just want people to know it is a viable option to carpet replacement.
- It my no longer be that straightforward. what's the carpet created from? maximum synthetics do no longer take dyes nicely so examine the content textile of the carpet. additionally bleach could desire to harm the backing and/or the padding below so examine that for harm. the ultimate answer could be getting a sprint that carpet, slicing out the spot and putting a clean piece in. you would be stunned how solid it could look. If this is performed ideal you may no longer even tell it replaced into repaired.
- Q: I have this rug that's in my garage that I want to put in my room. It used to be in my old room when I was younger but I don't want to put it in my room because I had it in my room when I was 12-14 (Now 17) and it was a horrible time, I used to get in trouble, grounded, awkward moments, just horrible stuff. I know I'm being superstitious but I don't want to have bad luck in my room. I think that If I put the rug in my room it will invite all that bad. I really want to put it in my room but I can't.It will bring back all those bad times. How do I overcome this? And is it bad luck? Help please.
- There is no such thing as luck. If something we can't explain happens, and it's good we say we had good luck, and opposite if bad things happen we say we had bad luck. Luck good or bad is a state of mind. You must stop associating the rug with the bad times of the past. Think about it, the rug had nothing to do with the things that happened in the past. If your life has changed, and your more stable in your daily affairs the rug will not change that. It may be good to put it in your room you did write that you liked the rug, and that you would like to put it in your room. I say go for it. After a short time of it being back in the room, you should be able to let the past, and the fact that the same rug was on the floor go. Make new, good memories to replace the old bad ones that the rug reminds you of. It's not the Rug sweetie.
- Q: we are moving out of our apartment and need to have the carpet cleaned. Has anyone rented a rug doctor? Was it easy to use? work well? Or should I just hire a carpet cleaning company to do it?It was like a $70 difference in price. Trying to save money where we can. Thanks!
- Rug Doctor works great if you have a good strong person to get it from the place you rent it to your home and back again. Any more I prefer hiring a cleaning company that extracts the dirty water. Your carpet is almost dry when they get done and the carpet stays cleaner longer.
- Q: Does anyone know anything about Indo Bijar rugs. I bought a 6x9 Indo Bijar rug today for next to nothing and am curious about its value. It has a tag on it from a profesional rug repair shop in Dallas ( the tag just says indo bijar 6x9 clean and replace fringe) It's in great shape and was hoping to resell at our yardsale but not sure about the value. I found two similar rugs on Craigs list, one was $4,000 and the other was for $600.

- Q: what kind of carpet match with furniture ?
- Plastic carpet and straw braid carpet. you can also consider the staw brain carpet unless the dry area is particularly evident. the best choice is anti-skid and water permeable plastic carpet or rubber carpet containing anti-skid micelle, as long as the existing indoor color. Take into account all the details in addition to the overall decorative style, if you feel full paved carpet is too luxurious. Can also choose the traditional fret and natural color. what kind of carpet is suitable for home? such as corn and other woven carpet , but also can choose the rare color and neutral color. The master bedroom is a place of rest, you can choose some neutral elegant colors, like dark wood color.
- Q: my carpet it is filthy. it has smelled since the day i moved in a month ago and the bottom of my feet are gray after walking on it. the apartment managers refuse to change it and have told me i can break the lease but i would be penalized. who do i contact to have my carpets tested or confirm that they're not up to standards??
- Did not know there was a standard set. Maybe you can call the National Association of Carpet Inspectors or the NACI. The residue is shampoo from having the carpets cleaned twice and not rinsed well.
- Q: Hello, I need to buy a big, squared burgundy rug (or in any dark red for that matter).I want to cover a room thats 16.6 x16.6 ft It would be fine if doesnt to cover the whole room, Im just looking for possibilities. Nothing fancy, its only to cover horrible flooring.Do you know any online stores that would sell them for a low price?BTW, Im willing to buy a used one and my budget is $400. Thank you!
- Craigslist, OKorder. Stores that sell rugs may have returns or discontinued ones that are marked down.
- Q: I live in the UK where the weather totally changes from one day to the next. One day it's freezing, the next it's hot. So I never know which rug to put on my horse. If I put a lightweight on and the weather turns cold he'll be cold. But if I put his mediumweight on and the sun comes out he'll be hot. Which is better?
- This is why it's better not to rug at all - horses can regulate their own body temperature quite well if they're left to grow a natural coat. That said... a rugged horse can keep himself warm easier than he can keep himself cool. He can move around, he can turn his butt to the wind, he can shiver - which gets him warm without harming him. He uses more energy, true, but he IS warm. Warm enough so he won't be hurt by it, anyway. A rugged horse has no way to cool himself at all. He sweats, it makes his fur and the rug damp. This is really, really uncomfortable for him; he's hot and steamy and wet and itchy and miserable. He can't cool himself by sweating. He's also producing the ideal environment for skin conditions like rain rot, lice, and so on. Warm, dark, wet. So... letting him be a little chilly this time of year does no harm. Keeping the heavy rug on when he's over warm produces skin problems of all sorts.
- Q: I have an approximately 2'x2' section of carpet that is snagged and needs to be replaced.
- There is a patch kit available at home depot. If you have extra carpet of the same kind that's great, if not, look in a closet or area where your room is carpeted but not seen and take some of that carpet. What you do is cut out an area a little larger than the area that needs to be replaced with the tool in the kit. Then cut a new piece, line up the grain or weave of the berber and put an adhesive on the backing or sometimes it is just a tape and roll it with a roller from the kit. It works great!!
- Q: I recently purchased this couch. I kept the colors the same (purple and teal). However, the two smallest accent pillows aren't the same; they're just going to be the same teal color. I need a rug and window treatments to match. I love the idea of a print and I'd like to not have it all too matchy. Any wall decor ideas are appreciated as well. Thanks for all the suggestions!!
- I love it! You have great taste. I'd go will some soft silk drapes that gently flow and maybe puddle on the floor in a cream, gray or tan, with a contrasting colored tassel to hold them back. If you want a printed drape, I'd still go silk and stick with a contemporary pattern. Rug options are limitless. When shopping for a rug, try to pull out a color in your other items. I find it is striking to have that be a small almost unnoticeable color in the rug, but it will pop because it is in another item. For example a printed rug that is predominantly brown, but has little hints of purple in it. Alone you might not notice the purple in the rug, but the pillows make it pop out. I'd go with abstract art given the contemporary nature of the couch... maybe a canvas giclee.
