Watts is simply volts times amps (VA). That is what you really want to know. The higher the wattage rating the more powerful the motor.

Q: I am in a market for a new vacuum cleaner. I have selected two models and there are two main differences between them: price and HEPA filtration. One with sealed HEPA costs $200 more than the one using HEPA 12 filtration. We have two dogs and no one in our family suffers from allergies. Would sealed HEPA filtration justify spending $200 more on a vacuum?Thanks.: Well the sealed would keep in more allergens and dust. The non sealed would would suck in allergens but spit them back into the air or at least most of them. I would recommend checking with people you know that you would consider inviting into your house and ask them if they are allergic to dust or allergens. Now i would recommend the shark navigator to you because it costs just under 200 dollars and has anti allergen technology to lock in dust and never loses suction. Now what they say on the commercials are true our family owns one and it is true. i have seen an improvement in my allergies. it also has free shipping and handling.so i would hope this helps.bye

Q: i have $700 to spend on a vacuum-what's the best brand I can get for that? I want one of those w/spec filter: I have both a Bosch and Miele and they make great high-end vacuums (w/Hepa filters). They are also eerily quiet. Make sure you shop around online and check out Consumer Reports before you spend that kind of money.

Q: why are some dogs afraid of vacuum cleaners?: coz of the noise.....and the fact that it can move....and that its sucks- 3 very strange facts when your the size of a dog and can smell and hear SOOOO much greater than a human.

Q: when you turn it on the brush should spin when you vacuum but it doesnt and when i pick the vacuum up it starts spinning..?: Is there a switch to turn it to bare floor? If it has, check to see . Brushes won't turn it it's doing bare floors. Also Take out the Beater Bar, and check at the ends that insert into the roller part. There might be a lot of hair restricting it from turning. Take the roller assembly completely out and check the sockets on the sides. clean out any hair and thread or anything else. Before putting the thing back together, squeeze some dry graphite on any turning parts except where the belt goes. Rub a little bit of bar soap on the belt.(I doubt if you have any belt dressing) Bye

Is this what quot;Airwattsmeans? And if you then divide this by the power being supplied to the motor, is this giving the efficiency of the machine?: I believe it is similar to mechanical horsepower, which takes into account both speed and torque. In the case of airwatts, it would be the available power to do work, taking into account both the pressure and volume of the airflow, outside of the vacuum motor's fan.

Q: I really need a cheap vacuum cleaner for an art project exam,I know they can't sell them in most charity chops, I've heard the council may do some kind of scheme where they take used or old vacuum cleaners and give them to poorer households, I'd like to know more about this. Q: Hi. I can't find the papers on my bagless vacuum cleaner and was wondering if it is okay to spray the carpet cleaner on and then vacuum with a quot;baglessvacuum cleaner. I can't really imagine what it would hurt since the only real difference I can see is that all of the dirt is going to a container instead of a bag. I really appreciate it.: Never spray you carpet with any kind of liquid! Trust me my dad use to be a carpet layer and when ever he pulled the carpet up to put new carpet in, he would find mold! and lots of it. And i dont think you can do that with your vacuum either! Just wait til it dries.
