Q: Just in case the power goes out, I would like to still be able to see where I am vacuuming.Anyone know a vacuum that has an inbuilt light that you would recommend? I know KIRBY make one, but they are very expensive.I am hoping for one at say less than $150 if possible.
how are you going to vacuum when the power is out?
Q: What is the difference between expensive and cheap robotic vacuum cleaners?
The okorder for reviews.
Q: How to repair the starting switch of vacuum cleaner?
Make sure that the power line of the vacuum cleaner is removed, and then remove the cover panel to reveal the back of the switch. The switch may be on the handle or cover
Q: We need a really quiet vacuum cleaner that can be operated while meetings are going on. Any suggestions
The quietest one I know is a Ghibli. I have one. If you're standing beside it, you can talk to someone in a normal voice. Mine doesn't have a beater bar which is the noisiest part of a vacuum cleaner but has lots of suction and does a very good job on carpets without it. Go to a vacuum specialty store and see what they have. I understand that Miele is very quiet too. When you're checking out vacuum cleaners, note that most of them give a decibel rating in the specs
Q: I've never had one so any opinion would really help.THANKS...
I have only owned one robot vacuum, and that's a Roomba Discovery. I LOVE IT!!! I do still vacuum weekly with my regular vacuum. Roomba will only get floors, and won't vacuum couches, beds, etc. This may not make a big difference to you, but if you have pets like me it's huge. Anyway, back to the question at hand. I love my Roomba. I sit it in the middle of a room once or twice a week and it keeps everything cleaner. I dust less. It's easier to vacuum when I do use the regular vacuum. If you have large open areas, you may also want to invest in the longer life battery. As for others, I have only heard what other people think. And ALL have said that the only one to own is the Roomba Discovery. I guess I lucked out starting with that one. I saw on the iRobot website the other day that they have a newer one called a Dirt Dog, or something like that. I believe that's designed for pet hair pick up so that's something to keep in mind. Cons - not many. It vacuums for you. You don't do much.
Q: Okay, I won't tell you who thinks what, but one of us think that you should dust your furniture, before you vacuum that way whatever dust gets on the floor its vacuumed up. The other thinks you vacuum before you dust...So which is it, do you dust before you vacuum or after? Please help this is so small but I would just like to do one of those kinda I told you so things.. Its a wife thing!
Always dust AFTER vacuuming because almost all vacuum cleaners expels some dust particles into the air. Now tell him you were right and make him take you out to dinner. <edits I see the majority says dust first, and I 100% disagree because of experience and having been a house keeper all my life. Think about it or better yet get a flashlight, turn the lights off and turn on the vacuum cleaner then shine your flashlight at the vacuum cleaner while it's running and you can see the dust particles flying out of it... and where will it go? on your freshly dusted furniture. I rest my case.
Q: I need the upright vacuum cleaners found in consumer reports can this be found local or online?
you okorder
Q: We are moving to a house that has tile in the kitchen and dining room and since I don't want to be just pushing the dust around with my broom anymore I wanted to know which of you use those stick type vacuum cleaners that you use on tile floors and thin carpet. Which work good but are still inexpensive ?? Either corded or cordless .
I think the Miele brooms are the best in the world. Very strong, quiet and can be used for bare floors or rugs.
Q: i need it for picking up guinea pig droppings. i've built an indoor pen, with safe soil and grass i grew for them to run around in, just because theres dangerous things outside, plus if given the chance they would run away haha... thats how it is ( No matter how much you love them gt;lt;) but im worried, that all the handheld vacuum cleaners i can find claim to be strong, and able to pick up deep.. yaddayadda.. i need something pretty weak, because i dont want to uproot the grass/seeds. any advice?
outstanding question.. i % one badly.. I even have had airborne dirt and dirt devil and 2 others.. forgot their names and none have been any stable.... i might % to have some corporation arise with a brilliant one yet right this moment, I even have not stumbled on one... be careful once you purchase one because of the fact they might look helpful and the readings approximately it ought to sound helpful yet save the receipt and return it whilst it proves to be valueless... extra suitable yet.. attempt to apply it interior the shop to degree its suction power previously you purchase it.
Q: What kind of vacuum cleaners get around baseboards the best? Mine does ok with the floors but the edge cleaner is bad.
Go with a Dyson. They are worth every penny and are super powerful. They come with all the attachments you need, including and edger cleaner.
