Q: I have a house cleaning business, we clean 2 homes a day and after buying 14 vacuum cleaners in the past 2 years I am done with spending money on vacuums that don't hold up or are 2 heavy or have so many filters to clean that you spend your evenings doing that. Does anyone have any suggestions on what vacuum we should buy? Just like you the house's we clean have an array of flooring, wood, tile, oriental rugs, carpet.Please help with your experience Thanks!!: mmmmm,I can only say what works for me. I use a dirt devil and also carry a small wet/dry vac,both are 3 years old.I have found the more expensive brands are not always the answer as mileage may vary. I have found there is an inherent cost of doing business,vacuums being a wearable tool.It does sound as if your on the way high end of costs.There is generally 2 reasons for premature failure.The first is of course bad/inappropriate product,the second being an operator issue. I understand what works for me may not work for you.I wish you luck in finding a more cost efficient system. My Best

Q: I've tried Bissell, and nothing works like my 14 yr old Dirt Devil. I cannot get filters for that anymore tho......I want something that doesn't kick sand up on my feet, I NEED SUCTION. Any ideas would be appreciated.: Our Wind tunnel has the floor level on it..It works great for our tile and wood floors..

Q: My son likes to help out around the house (he's 2 and a half). He has a toy vacuum cleaner, but I want one that actually works and picks things up. If he's going to quot;helpI want him to be productive. lol If you know of any good vacuums (upright or otherwise, one that works on carpet and vinyl flooring, etc.), and is relatively inexpensive, please let me know! Thanks!: dirt devil brand for kids actualy picks up like a sweeper vac and you can empty out the dirt and everything it picks up.

Q: Are they worth the money? Do they really clean the air?: Don't know, but I almost got a job with them once. They seem kind of shady. You have to start out by getting your friends and family to buy their stuff. Very expensive. Caveat emptor.

Q: Do vacuum cleaners help clean cat hair?: of course it does. it helps to remove hair from the couches, furniture and carpets... but it is not good to make your vacuum as a cat's cleaner. you should brush weekly your cat's furr to make your cat's beauty , safe, and healthy......

Q: Why would they make products that will break in a few years? Is this a good policy?: cars vacuum cleaners appliances there are just too many to list They used to make products to last. Quality used to mean something in the make of a product. Now the policy isn't quality but quantity to keep the money rolling in. :-))

Q: my dog is 1 year old and she is afraid of the vacuum. why is this and how do I stop it? I feel so bad for her when she is whining and barking...: Vacuum cleaners make horrific noises, some of which we cannot hear - but it is actually painful and mystifying at the same time to your dog. The best thing you can do is to put your dog somewhere away from the noise- perhaps crated, or even in the car if it is well mannered and the weather makes it safe to do so. Just anything to shield your dog's ears from the screaming machine. I have had to explain rips in the bag to the vac repairman myself...
