- Q: Artificial stone basin where to do some
- Generally larger artificial stone processing plants or production plants can provide, but need to have a certain amount, whether this high cost and time-consuming, trouble;
- Q: how to umplug bathroom sink?
- 80% of lavatory sink drains clog at the stopper. Remove all the water you can first. Look under the sink and you will find a rod sticking out of the drain perpendicular to the pipe. unscrew the nut that holds this rod to the drain. pull it out of the drain being careful not to drop any of the parts on the rod if there are any. pull the stopper out of the drain. use a steel hanger with a hook on the end to swirl around in the drain to remove debris. don't run water without pop-up rod as it will leak under the sink. put the stopper back in the drain with the hole facing the back of the pipe so the rod will go into it. put the rod back in and tighten the nut finger tight. flush with cold water and check for leaks around the nut and the pop up rod. tighten as needed to stop leaks. If that doesn't work you can remove the p trap under the sink and empty it. if there is no debris clogging it you can snake through the pipe sticking out of the wall (trap arm). after you snake the drain reinstall the trap and flush with cold water. check the trap for leaks and tighten as needed. I NEVER recommend Draino because it doesn't work very often and when it doesn't, you end up with a sink full of dangerous caustic chemicals. A lot of plumbers will charge extra if they have to deal with it because it can burn you, blind you, ruin your clothes and ruin drain machine cables.
- Q: Hand wash the box from the basin height
- 20-25 cm is the best height.
- Q: My bathroom sink has a really, REALLY slow drain. Im not sure of what the parts are called so bare with me. I was able to take the bottom pipe, at that makes the u, at the bottom of the sink drain out and there was nothing there. I looked up, through the sink drain and that was clear. I then took a snake and put it into the wall and snaked the pipe as far as I could. I did get "gunk" and I thought that I cleared whatever was blocking the pipe creating the slow drain, but apparently I didnt. Right now Im just waiting for the sink to drain again to take that U off so I can snake the wall again. Thats all I can think of doing. Is there anything else for me to do, or is just keep snaking it my only option?
- Not a plumber but I would try a longer snake or use compressed air with the pipes full of water.
- Q: My bathroom has an old sink that needs to be replaced. At the same time, the faucet and related items would be replaced. If I hired a handy man what would be the estimated cost to me for removing the old and putting in a new sink with all the related items including labor and parts? What would be the estimated cost if a plumber did the job?The new sink would not be anything fancy, just a standarized sink that would be used in a condominium. Thanks
- There are a lot of variable to this question. First, labor rates are very dependent on where you live (city/state). Is it a pedestal sink or one with a vanity cabinet? If it is a vanity, is it a drop in or under mount sink? There is also the question of size. There really is no standard, as sinks are made different sizes to fit in different spaces. A pedestal sink will generally cost a little more in both labor and for the sink itself. I would love to give you an idea of cost, but with so little information, I'd hate to give you bad information. Your best bet would be to call around to a couple local plumbing shops and have them come out and give you an estimate. A lot will do this at no cost to you, and should be able to bring out some catalogs of different sink and faucet styles for you to look and and decide what you'd like. This will also give them a chance to look and see if there are any additional obstacles that would change the cost of the job (shut off valves that don't work, and other piping issues). FYI, the shop I work for has a rate of $160/hr for labor. In your local area this may be different, and will affect the cost. Plumbing rates across the country fluctuate A LOT. Call around for rates.
- Q: Customize the basin of marble countertops to pay attention to what
- Whether you are customized which a material, the material with or without cracks or small flaws, is not smooth and so on, if the adhesive, see is not strong.
- Q: Why doesnt my bathroom sink drain right?
- Before removing the p-trap, try unscrewing the stopper in the sink... with newer types that is possible. Often, hair and sludge gets trapped under the stopper... try it, if it isn't clogged there, then remove the p-trap.
- Q: Our bathroom sink is leaking where the trap meets the pipe that goes into the wall. How can we tell what size the pipe is? What special tools (if any) are needed? Thank you.
- Well either your trap needs replacing or the fitting it is threaded into in the wall needs to be replaced. I have done this and you might have a LITTLE difficulty if you need to replace the fitting that goes into the wall. If you cannot unscrew it with a PIPE WRENCH or similar tool then try heating up the fitting with a propane torch. Be careful not to start a FIRE to any SURROUNDING areas. Just go to a Lowes or Home depot or better yet a well stocked Plumbing supply house for replacement parts. Piece of cake/it just takes a little time and patience. Buy some quality teflon paste for the threads before threading them together.
- Q: What do you think is more appealing? A wooden cabinet with a one piece vanity top for a sink that would double as storage or a pedestal sink made of porcelain and a piece of wooden bathroom furniture that would be the storage unit?
- I have both and of the two I really like the pedestal sink...my one piece vanity looks dated. Something I really like is a old antique dresser/bureau and you cut a hole in the top and inlay a porcelain sink...it looks AWESOME!!!!
- Q: Bathroom desk basin cabinet has 90 centimeters long?
- Certainly have, a lot of shops can be customized, you can go to the local building materials market to ask
