Q: Is there any easy trick to prevent a cat from peeing in a bathroom sink? I have 2 cats and I don't know which one does it and I don't want to have to punish both. Thanks.: Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. Q: It's special! In the basement there is another trap before going out to the steet... Life is not as complex as we humans like to believe it is; therefore, generally, the simplest answer is the correct one. It is probably right in the sink drain trap the whole time.

Q: I took everything out and it's still there. Smells like something rotting, I live in a condo. Any ideas what it is, and what I can do to get rid of it.: Is it backed up? Get a plumber. It'll cost you allot less now than if you do it yourself and the line leaks or breaks when your not around. They can usually do it for around a hundred dollars or less..

Q: The water just sits in the sink for hours.: Hi there, You can go to a hardware store and (in the plumbing department) look for something called a sink auger also may be called a sink cleanout. This device is about two feet long and looks like a spring with a hook on the end. There will be instructions on the package but basically you just insert it into the drain and rotate. The hook on the end should loosen the clog or allow you to pull the clog out. If in doubt find a clerk and tell him/her what your problem is and ask for a recommendation. I would not try any of the liquid products that claim to dissolve clogs. Usually they do not work for me. If the sink auger does not work you can remove the p-trap under the sink and usually find something is stopping it up. It will be easy to unclog the trap once it has been removed. Q: I live in the first floor of a two floor apartment. When someone in up-stair uses the kitchen sink, the dirty water flows back to my kitchen sink. It stays in the sink for couple of minutes then goes away. Sometimes the odorous water overflows and makes my kitchen floor very smelly. The super of out apartments seems to be struggling to find out why it is happening. He changed the pipe. cleaned it, etc. nothing seems to be working. DOes anyone know the cause. Please help! It snowed yesterday, and I do not have if that has anything to do with the situation.: There is a plug down your line to the main line.....somewhere. He needs to have that line snaked out. You can try using a drain product like crystal drain-o before you go to bed at night when neither of you is using the water. In the morning flush with hot water.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions.: Well the plumbing part is easy RE; Hot left the cold to the right, That means the hot is on the Left and the Cold is on the right, Watch how the old one comes out, most is a screw or bolts clamp to the counter and sometimes sealed with silicone which you can cut loose with a razor knife, Un hook the lines at the valve under the sink, if you don't have any then get some and put them in, On the new sink connect the faucet and the supply lines before putting in the sink, Set you sink in correctly and trim the supply lines even with the valve inner part so that it is all the way in and tighten the nut, after you turn the water back on, then slowly open the faucet and let the air come out, then run it for a while, some guy remove the faucet packing stem and then turn on the water, this flushes the line out and won't clog the faucet.
