Q: What is the best, and safest, insecticide to use for home vegetable gardens?
Malathion is a good one. Not very toxic to people and will not last a long time. Have to wait about a week before you can eat the food. All that is on the label. Sevin is good too. Make sure not to mix it to strong because it will burn the leaves in the sun. It also can cause a mite problem if you use it all the time. The neat thing about seven is your can enter the spray zone as soon as it drys and eat the food one day after you spray it.
Q: i am looking for stuff for me and my fiance new apartmentsearsjcpennykholsikea...
jcpenny,Kohl's and ikea do not have a home and garden a garden is where they sell flowers
Q: Should every wife be tested for the golf ball through a garden hose trick?
That's the least of your worries. First You have to convince someone besides your hand to go near you long enough to be your girl friend and then not scare her away so she will marry you. So, this will probably never be an issue for you. Make the world a better place and just stick to shaking hands.
Q: just bought a brand new home and i have no clue about gardening. Pls advise on how to get started
Try to get low maintenance plants for your landscape. This way you can enjoy your yard without all the work to keep it up. Slow growing bushes and trees. Try to get plants for your area of growing season. Garden centers will give you examples of the type of vegetation you will need to beautify your house. Mulching will be a plus for the tree and bushes. It keep the soil moist and the plants free from weeds. Good luck with your landscape.
Q: I am suddenly into home improvement (home and garden design), so what kinds of jobs in this area are available with just a business degree?
Around here, we've got Hire-A Hubby, which is a kind of handyman franchise. Then there's all the garden services franchises. They're relatively cheap to start up in. the business degree doesn't help, exactly, but it sure doesn't hurt.
Q: I am looking to subscribe to a megazine, and i'm interested in Lanscaping and vegetable gardening, what megazine should i subscribe to?
Buy the book Better Homes and Gardens Complete Guide to Gardening. This beats magazines and is the best book I ever bought.Has everything about soil, composting veggies. fruit trees, shrubs and how to on several subjects. Good Luck. From old 8o year old GRANNY. Try WalMart. That's where I bought mine.
Q: or is it other companies such as solmins brinks or even guard me security???
You okorder /. I see a lot of signs for the ones you mentioned outside homes around here. In fact, my next door neighbor works for ADT. He's kind of weird though, so I don't think I would personally go for ADT, but that's only my issue, nothing against the company.
Q: I need to buy my mom a washer/dryer but live out of state, so it has to be valid online. Thanks!

Q: I had a recipe from a beter homes and gardens cookbook for chicken enchiladas. I do not know what edition it was, but my cookbook is at least 10 years old. The picture of the enchiladas is garnished with tomatoes and black olives and green onions. My cookbook is packed for a move and I need that recipe. Thank you in advance!

Q: If you have a home garden, and you grow more than what you can use, what do you do with the extra? Do you give it to friends and family or do you give it to those in need by way of food pantries at churches or a food bank? Do you give it to homeless shelters? Or do you just let it rot and throw it away?
Vey good we should all grow our own food Its the only way to be sure that it is OK these days We give most exstra food to friends ,ad the rotten stuff is for the wild boar ,the rabbit and the squirrels eat a lot of mangos. I like the idea of giving it to the poor. In Africa ,the top grade stuff went to the restaurant kitchen,or we sold it to visitors . And the rest went to the people working the gardens. anything rotten was for the animals. If you go to the trouble of growing food, which is a lot of work ,it would be crazy to let any of it just go to waste.
