Q: I would like some recipes to use as a pesticide in my vegetable garden that can be made from household ingredients. I used to have some but I lost them. Please help if you can I would appreciate any suggestions :)
mix powder tide with water 50/50 and use as a spray. no problem, though it HAS to be the powder, not the liquid.
Q: my garden is not to big so plant that dont consume much space will do
The most important ones are those that you'll eat. Avoid potato and squash, unless you can get the squash to climb; big space users. Small space users are carrots, turnips, beets, and peppers. Tomatoes are fine if you cage them to contain the sprawl. Also consider early and late season veggies so you can grow more than one thing in each space, such as lettuce or spinach followed by tomatoes or peppers. You can also interplant things like lettuce between carrots so as the lettuce ripens the carrots fill in the row. Finally, consider containers, if you can water them every day.
Q: Is there anyone in Chicago who loves to work in the garden?
Does your garden need tending? Hum(-;
Q: We have a Hoover T Series that I like, but it get clogged/dirty really easily. Hoover themselves told me that my model was not made for pet hair (we have a huge Maine Coon and another cat that sheds too). I bought a used/refurbished Dyson DC07 (oldie but goodie I had experience with since my mom has 2). It has begun losing suction and both of these just kick dirt everywhere. The button to change from hard floor to carpet broke on my Hoover so its useless for tile now.I was told Sanitaire is about the best and cheapest commercial grade that I can get. My Granny has had her Kirby (I think classic) since forever and has not had one issue with it. My husband wants a Kirby but we have only 300 or below to spend, that's it. My local vacuum shop only wants to sell me a Ricaar and I know those are good, but I don't have Ricaar money. What should I buy?
I've okorder /... I was in a vacuum repair shop many years ago, and the guy there said these vacuums have a bypass system that means it can suck up nails without blowing the motor. He said that most of the vacuums he repaired had blown motors, but not these. The handle is metal. It's just a sturdy hotel vacuum. I read the complaints. The vacuum has a long heavy cord. There is only one hook at top and not one at the bottom so it wraps loosely. Some people gave it 2 stars for that reason. One guy said he used it daily for 2 years as part of his commercial vacuum business. He gave it 2 stars because it lasted only two years. If you can stand a long, thick cord, I think it will be a great vacuum for pet hair. I love the steel handle; it says, this vacuum is tough. Vacuum cords should be thick anyways. Mine has a few cut marks from running over top of it. Good luck.
Q: my garden is a mess i mean theirs dried up leaves everywhere, it's not maintained, etc..etc.. the plants in their are dying, pretty much is a mess and i want to fix it up to plant my tomatoes in their.how do i go about doing this? of course i will need to clean up the dried up clippings which i will do tommorrow or at least try but how do i go about with the dirt? never planted in the ground before.i wont be planting in them soon but i want to start cleaning it up as this isn't my garden but my grandpa's and he really doesn't maintain it like i said it's pretty much a trash bin.

Q: looking for a house. it says rent-to-own. what does that mean
Don't do it, I asked my cousin this a while back because she does real estate in both ny and florida. Basically its like mortgage, you don't own the house as yet but your paying the house owners it monthly but the part that is bad for you is that on the house their are also taxes that are worth about 20,000 a year and on top of paying the mortgage you have to pay the taxes and your other expenses such as gas, lighting, water exct.... But yeah the house you obtainon rent to own will most likely take about 30 years to pay off but with rent to own you still have to pay for the taxes to and you will basically be paying twice as much as the original price.
Q: Im a plumbing heating tech and would like to share my knowledge
Look at Home Garden, I think you'll find what you want there
Q: I am in college, but I want to start a garden just in case a plague hits. I don't have any physical area (like land) to keep my vegetables. What would be a good place? Maybe large or small pots, or wheel barrel. I also need it to be mobile. Also, can anyone give me the best survivalist websites?
You need a lot of room to grow enough to sustain yourself try Hydroponics, its the only way to grow in a small confined area a lot of pots in an enclosed area is asking for dampness humidity problems and if the dirt is not clean, welcome to gnat city hydroponics can be set up to grow vine type plants that hang from a string to get more yield, but IMHO you wasting your time unless you have a good sized room supplemented with light from outside, if you want to use pots use vermiculite/perlite mixture and powered all purpose hydroponic nutrients you will have to learn how to adjust the PH information is readily available on line on how to do this and what to use as far as being mobile, that is something I would be wanting to see myself hydroponics can be set up and broken down very easy given the right system.
Q: looking at raised bed garden company's that will come to your home and build and start these gardens for you
I am sure there are but I feel that it is best to just do a little research and you will find it isnt as hard as you may think...
Q: what are the top 10 stores for shopping for home and garden in the US?
Lowes, Home Depot and garden centers that you see along some of the main roads in your area. We have one called Arbor. Wal Mart has a lot of things.
