Q: I live in the NE USA. I have an apartment porch with another porch on top of it, so I get sun in the afternoon, into early evening. I have to have a garden on the porch because any indoor plants will get eaten by the cats. I'd like to be able to plant some seeds in planters (either the long ones or in pots) and keep them on the porch to bloom and grow.
