Q: I'm moving into my first apartment at college soon, and I've been trying to find cool wall decor and decorative accessories for the apartment that isn't too expensive. I love animal prints. Any ideas where I can look online?

Q: I have problem of nematatoes in our home garden, let me use neem cake to avoid this problem
I don't know about neem cake, but I know a little about neem. It's a natural product that I used on my roses as an bug preventor. I've never had nematodes, so I have no tried and true remedies to get rid of them. Why don't you call your County extension agent/office and ask them what is recommended for your area. You could also try a web search or look up the manufacturer's web site and see what kind of info they have for you.
Q: He has been in training in the Army since the beginning of July. We are both 20 and have an 8 month old daughter. He will be arriving around the 24th of October (graduates training the 23rd), and I will be going to pick him up from the bus station or airport alone(he still doesn't know which form of transp. he wants to take). I would really like to do something nice for him or surprise him in some way.. But chalk it up to quot;mommy brainquot; for leaving me with a complete blank! Should it be late and we have to get a hotel or stay overnight, my mother will be staying with the baby so preparations have been discussed for that possibility. Any ideas on what we can do or I can do for him? Either when he arrives or after he is settled - to celebrate?
1) Do stay in a completely quiet place on his first night at home. Let him see his baby for a few minutes, but then let grandma take the baby away so you and your husband can have some serious quality time in bed together. 2) Wherever you two end up for staying for his first night back, make sure you have some of his favorite things awaiting him, for example, one or two bottles of his favorite soft drink (since you are too young to drink). He'll want comfort food. You have to know what he loves to eat. Give it to him. Just don't let him eat too much or you won't get around to making love...he'll just fall asleep from stuffing his face. Remember, he's been in Army training and they don't get a lot of sleep! 3) Tell him how proud you are of him! Simple words go a long way. 4) Listen carefully to what he says to you. Don't talk him to death unless he asks you questions. Pay special attention to things he has learned in training. He may have new habits you'll have to adjust to. Be respectful of those habits and his new likes and dislikes (if he has any). 5) Of course, he will have just come back from Army training, so he might be a neat freak now. Get your home, garden and vehicles ready for spot inspection. He'll appreciate that.
Q: What's a good zone 9 gardening book?
Sunset has a great book out that covers several zones, icluding 9 (which I'm in). Cal. based.
Q: i used clearisil for 2 days only on 2 pimples 4 tiny small bumps in my cheeks.the 3rd day i decided to put it all over my face because i had a lot of red and the box said it relieves redness and prevents pimples. then yesterday i woke up with some extra redness in my face so i applied foundation like always. when i got home i noticed my face really red like a sunburn and it hurt during thursday night. now its peeling.can anyone help?
Anything with Benzoyl Peroxide in it is going to turn your skin red until your skin gets used to it. Moisturize a ton with an oil free moisturizer (oil of olay oil free is really good). If you can, get your hands on some jojoba oil or a moisturizer with jojoba oil in it. It takes care of irritation and flakiness, and it leaves your skin silky smooth. If you have the oil alone, mix it with a little moisturizer. Good Luck!
Q: Some A$$H0LE applied pesticides to my entire home garden, and left a pesticides application sign. I want to know if the vegetables I grew are still safe to eat after I clean it.

Q: Do homes have gardens in the Philippines? What is the general theme? English, French, Bali, or what?
We have a garden but there is no real theme. My wife is in charge so she plants lots and lots of ornamentals, including orchids on one part of the garden. She also has cattleyas. She leans towards the flowering plants. The ground is covered by carabao grass.
Q: I live in Philadelphia and I am growing - tomatoesgreen beans pepperscucumbersAny helpful tips???Thanks ; )
For the tomatoes and peppers put an ice cream pail with the bottom cut out. It will help support them and keep them from getting hurt but winds. Cukes will grow up a fence or trellis if there is one handy. One 10 foot row of bean goes a long way. Hope these tips help you out.
Q: I am a believer in providing my own food for myself, but i am worried that in the future the pollen of GMO's will contaminate the crops i am growing at home? Is this a possibility?
yes but only of you are growing soy and corn. And if you are growing sweet corn you have always had to plant either ahead or behind the field corn as any corn that crosses with sweet corn ruins it (other than other sweet corn). So if you are growing produce and herbs in your garden and not corn or soy you should not have to worry about G<O's pollinating with your crops. Also if you are not surrounded by farm fields don't worry. I have been growing a sustainable, GMO free market garden in rural SW Ohio for 17 years and they only time I had crossing was when I was growing edamame within 50 feet of a field growing GMO soy (I knew because the flower color was the same as the GMO soy and should have been another color). So i destroyed the crop. Don't worry about GMO corn pollinating your melons or lettuce, it will not happen as that sort of thing can happen only in a lab and not through natural sexual breeding.
