Q: i have a 1989 Nissan 240sx and im trying to install an aftermarket Pioneer radio (DEH-P20), my car only has 2 speaker which are in the front right and left side doors, i've gotten many wiring diagrams to help me install it and im pretty sure i have connected the wires correctly. the only problem is that after i got done connecting it, the radio wont power on.. if theres a defective power wire, what can i do to fix it? and also, where EXACTLY do i connect the Ground wire? oh and why does the car wires have multiple same colors for example, theres like 3 light blue wires non striped from the car, etc.?thank you

Q: trying to find the radio wiring diagram for my suburban to find out where all my speaker wires are .

Q: i want to attach a wire to my new speaker but when i cut the wire taken from my headphone, there are 4 wires in it, 2 are golden colored and the other two are green and blue but the speaker has only 2 points to connect the wires.Someone plz help me.
Just get some speaker wire its not that expensive ; go to Wal Mart where they have the TV's and ask for speaker wire or go to the hardwear store and ask for speaker wire or lamp cord thats polorized for the wire you have twist the two golden wires together at both ends and twist the blu and green together at both ends now use the golden for positive and the other for negative.....
Q: What type of wire do i need to install a normal inside wall outlet? Do i have to use solid copper wire?
If the circuit breaker feeding the receptacle is 15 amps, you must use a #14 minimum size. if it is a 20 amp breaker, you must use a #12 minimum. You can use either solid or twisted. TexMav
Q: I am replacing old 3 button (vertically aligned) light switch. There is 1 thick wire wrapped in white, 1 thick wire wrapped in black and 4 thin wires wrapped in black. I attached the white wire to the common wire screw and put the remaining wires around the screws. I am also replacing a toggle switch that will control the vanity lights above the sink. There are 4 clumps of wire coming through the box. The copper grounds are all twisted together, and there are multiple strands of white covered wire twisted together and then the 5 black cover wires and 1 white covered wires. After hooking it all up, it doesn't do anything. No lights, fan or heat lamp. What did I do wrong?
Sounds like a mess. But to answer the narrow question, Black wire carries Hot power, White wire is Neutral, and bare copper or green is Ground. Don't kill yourself or cause a fire!!
Q: I have two low voltage wires that run from one side of a building to another. The insulation on both wires is the same color. I eventually just walked an additional wire around the building and checked continuity. Is there an easier way to differentiate between the two wires?
i think i get what your saying if for example your running 3 black wires (the insulation is black)and each one is for example a line or hot wire i would take different colored tape and color code each one on each end it eliminates having to ring them out RING =continuity
Q: A 41.7-kg sign is suspended by two wires, as the drawing shows. Wire 1 makes and angle of 42.2deg with the horizontal and wire 2 makes an angle of 58.8deg. Find the tension in wire 1 and wire 2.
To solve this, you have to find 2 equations, because there are 2 unknowns. Assume, Tension in wire 1 = T1 Vertical component of T1 = T1 sin42.2 Horizontal component of T1 = T1 cos42.2 Tension in wire 2 = T2 Vertical component of T2 = T2 sin58.8 Horizontal component of T2 = T2 cos58.8 Since the sign board is in equilibrium, the forces must balance each other. Horizontally, the horizontal components of both forces are balancing each other. Therefore, T2 cos58.8 = T1 cos42.2 T2 = (T1 cos42.2) / (cos58.8) -------------------(1) For the vertical components of the wire, both are balancing the weight of the sign. T1 sin42.2 + T2 sin58.8 = (41.7)(9.8) T1 sin42.2 + T2 sin58.8 = 408.66N ----------------(2) Combine (1) into (2), T1 sin42.2 + (T1 cos42.2)(sin58.8) / (cos58.8) = 408.66 T1 ( sin 42.2 + cos 42.2 tan 58.8) = 408.66 T1 = 215.66N Subst T1 = 215.66N into (1), T2 = (T1 cos42.2) / (cos58.8) = 308.4N Hope it is correct ^^
Q: I currently have a ceiling fan wired to a dimmer wall switch that controls the fan and the light, not good I know. I would like to set up the dimmer switch where it controls the light only and then i can use the fan pull switch for the fan. but i am not sure how to wire this with my current wires. In the wall box where the dimmer switch is I have two sets of wires coming from two different locations. one set has a black, red, white, and green. the other location has black, white and copper. currently the green and copper are connected and capped, the two whites are connected together and capped, two blacks are and connected to the black wire coming from the dimmer and the red is connected to the other black wire from the dimmer. how would I wire the dimmer switch to only control the light and not the fan? I want to make sure i do this safely.any assistance is greatly appreciated.
enable me initiate out by making use of asserting that the cord's popping out of the ceiling bypass like this, Black cord is alway the warm cord the White cord is often the common floor cord the bare cord is the earth floor cord. if there's a purple cord popping out of the ceiling it is so which you would be able to turn the mild off at extra then one change . i'm uncertain what a hunter fan is ,yet what ever you do do no longer hook the black (warm) cord with the WHITE (floor) cord, in case you probably did try this ,you will could reset your breaker , it form of seems such as you may have 2 purple cord popping out of the ceiling , in case you do you may hook them to the Black / White cord, it is so which you would be able to paintings the mild from the two change.
Q: I have an old sewing machine without a plug that needs wiring up but it doesn't have the modern wire colours. There's one red wire and one yellow. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks =]
It would be better for you to post a picture of your wires and where they are going to on the machine so that we can tell you what is what. Otherwise it would be difficult to say just by telling us one is red and one is yellow. No offense intended, there's just not enough information with just knowing the wire colors. ------------------------ WARNING! Red is NEVER used to indicate a earth connection as XOXO suggests! Damage to your machine or harm to you could result if you attempted to connect red to earth. ------------------------ OK, I see your picture (thanks): Yellow is most likely the common wire. It connects to your white wire. The red wire connects to the Hot (black) wire. If you have a switch in the system, the red wire would connect to your switch or foot (gas peddle). And of course the other side of your switch would be connected to your black wire of the power cord.
