- Q: is it ok for a 32mm square THHN wire
- For THHN wire (90*c/194*F), you would need: #3 Copper Wire Gauge Size 110 amp rating (doesn't account for voltage drop for distance) #2 for aluminum wire. #3/0 Copper Wire Gauge Size 225 amp rating (doesn't account for voltage drop for distance) #4/0 for aluminum wire. Note: A licensed electrician should be consulted in you area as local codes may differ.

- Q: awg is an american stander to manufacturing electrical wires
- AWG has about 44 different size wires. Do you mean #19 as opposed to #10? #19 is usually not available, only even numbers, such as #18 or #20. so if you are using #19, it must be specially manufactured. #19 is a lot thinner than #10, 0.036 diameter vs 0.1 #10 can handle a lot more current then #19, 15 amps vs 2 amps edit: 12 awg (13x0.504+6x0.37) = 19 wires. 6rm ( 7x0.85) = 7 wires Those are called STRANDS. some wire is made up of strands of smaller wire twisted together so the wire is more flexible. But it can be all one strand, it can be a few, it can be hundreds, there is no real standard on that. If you search you can probably find #12 with 1 strand, 19 strands, or other numbers. Although 19 strands seems most common, there is no real reason for that number. .

- HI Drive by wire In a drive by wire set up there no solid connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels. the steering is all done be electronics. on a regular car there is a shaft that goes from the steering wheel to the steering gear box, then tho the steering arms to the wheels. ON by wire the steering wheel moves switches and valves the turn the wheel by a pre set amount. - The blue and black wires from the fan are twisted together and attached to the black wire coming from the ceiling box using the enclosed wire nuts. The white wire from the fan goes to the white wire from the box. There may be a bare copper wire bent up into the box, if so pull it down and attach the green wire to it. If there is no bare wire you can get a short piece of bare copper wire and attach it with a screw to a hole in the metal box with an 8/32 machine screw. Wrap the copper wire clockwise around the screw, tighten, and then join green wire to bare. If you have no bare wire and the box is plastic then you will have nothing to use the ground wire to and it will be unused.
- Q: But I want to switch it and wire the red ceiling wire to the black fan wire and the black ceiling wire to the black/white fan wire so that the particular switches work the way I want them to. Is this ok, to switch them?
- Black wire on the fan is for the fan motor, red wire in the fan is for the light, the white wire is the neutral wire. So if you do want to switch the light off and on you have to tie red wire to the switch and the black wire can be tied to the hot at the ceiling box so you can control the fan with the chain only. If you have one switch leg in your circuit then you cannot do anything but switch them both if you tie them together. I think I am understanding what you are saying here. White Alyse ties to white Black is for the fan motor and the red is for the light. If you have three wires in the switch then you can tie them the same way color to color. - Q: Kind of a confusing question I guess. I want to cut a wire that contains 3 other wires and splice into them then reconnect them. is all I need relatively the same gauge wire or is it potentially different type like some sort of special speaker wire..? Should be one positive one negative and the other some sort of signal for sound. (Microphone to a speaker). All I need is standard copper wire?
