- I think I understand your question, the tiles you can't skate on unless you have roller hockey skates, it's called sport court. I play roller hockey and ice and the tiles for roller SUCK! If I were you I'd just go fin a certain kind of paint I can't recall the name of the brand, but paint the garrage floor with it and you can skate in there and stick handle if you have enough room. - To see what to buy tiles, the ground or the wall is not the same as the identification method
- Q: I had a person re-grout the 4 tiles years ago. That person was a dufus and left some grout on the tiles instead of just in the grooves.. It is still there! How could I remove the small patches of grout from the front of the white tiles? As a point of information, the repair guy messed up by grouting ALL of the tiles when he first started. The grout drys so fast that it set up hard before it could be struck and finished and the excess washed off. The tile setter guy is supposed to do just a very few tiles at a time.
- Hopefully, all of your tiles have grout AND sealer. You can try plain ol' scrapping it off, but be careful not to scratch the tiles. Try using white vinegar to soften the grout, but be sure not to get any on the grout that you want to save. Use a small sponge, or even Q-tips. You may have to let it soak a few minutes. Also, try using a plastic scraper instead of a metal one, like a pan scraper. If you have any spare tiles, practice scraping to see if you're scratching the tile.

- HomeDepot or Lowes has a stick on tile that requires no grout. It has a peel off back that leaves an adhesive that will stick to the floor. Make sure the concrete or whatever is under the rug is clean and dry. The tile is thin so it can be cut with heavy duty scissors or utility knife.
- Q: For a while now I have just used paper towels as a substrate for my 2 leopard geckos and I recently have been researching slate tiles as a substrate and I want to give it a try due to the positive feedback i‘ve seen on message boards and care sheets. Now, I have 2 10 gallon tanks that I would like to use but details are lacking from an online source.1. What measurements should i ask for when getting a piece of slate cut(for a generic 10 gallon tank)?2. Is there a certain thickness the slate should be for proper heat disbursement?3. - I use slate tiles for my 3 geckos tanks. They work great. 1. A 10 gallon tank is generally 20in X 12in. Because not all the tiles are the same size I would go with cutting the tile slightly smaller to make sure they fit. So maybe 19 1/2 and 11 1/2. You will probably need 2 tiles for each tank so you could cut them anyway you want ( 10 and 10, 12 and 8, 6 and 6, etc. You can fill the gaps with sand later on. The 12 X12 tiles could be slightly smaller, slightly larger, or longer then they say. 2. No really, though you do want them to be fairly even in the tank. Most of my tiles are about 1/4 inch but I also have a layer of sand under the tiles so they are level even if the tiles are different thicknesses. 3. You want them to be warm but not too hot. Because leopard geckos use belly heat you'll want them about 88-90F. I would not let the tiles get over 95F though.
- Q: I am about to redo my bathroom, and I Absolutely hate corners. They get dirty and are hard to clean plus I think they are ugly. So as far as tile is concerned is there something like a bent tile for an inside corner such as from floor to wall which will eliminate corners. Imagine if you will a quarter pipe use by skaters. - American Olean, Summitville and I m sure there other makers make a cove tile meant to be used of flooring corners between the wall tile and floor tile. You can see them in commercial applications allot. I don t see why you cant adopt the same concept to walls. There is also a base tile used for showers called an A 3401 that you could use in the same way. There is a whole color range in in 4x4 and 6x6 tiles. These are nice but basic tiles . - Sounds like it probably has a wax finish on it? If so you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and get floor stripper. OR you can try to put comet in your mop water. I would think maybe something like vinegar and water would clean it and disinfect, but take away any slippery residue.

- Q: I‘m installing 13 x 13 cermic tiles. We‘ve laid the tile to try to configure the best layout. However, the one with the best layout with the easiests cuts leaves one very complicated one. The tile lies directly on the air duct, with the cut being a large rectangular hole in the middle of the tile. - I would go with the one that falls with one tile on the vent. then, go to Lowe's and pick up a ceramic tile drill bit. they have a bit that is specifically made for drilling through glass and ceramic tile, a masonry bit will crack the tile. they are relatively expensive for a drill bit because they have a relatively flat diamond coated tip. using this bit you can outline the cut with bit holes. if you drill enough holes, you can simply break the center out of the tile. just take your time and drill plenty of holes or you will crack the tile. I think that it would look cool if the duct came directly out of the center of a tile.
