Q: I now want to match the tile and extend it into my living room and dining area. How would I go about finding the same tile?
start going to large tile places, bring a pic and see if they recognize it.
Q: I don‘t want to take my tiles off my bathroom walls, but i would like to put some mosaic tiles up, can i put them on top of existing tiles
I am a tile-repairman specialist. Install the glass mosaic tiles on top of the white tile and finish it off with white caps all around or a white plastic tile molding. The molding comes 8 feet long and 1 wide and you can cut it like you would cut any other molding. The glass mosaic tiles would look nice at 4 feet if you continue the run into the bathroom shower/tub area. See source below for pictures of glass mosaic tiles installed.
Q: What are the general equipment needed to open a tile factory?
Under normal circumstances you can buy a circular polishing machine 14 grinding head, a 800 type CNC cutting machine, in addition to buy a manual cutting machine (1200 models), basically can meet a small processing plant. If you want to be more competitive, on the most advanced arc lines machine.
Q: but now we have decided to probably go with laminate tile in each. Mainly time is the big thing, I know I can put that in but not sure about tile. Anyways is this a good decision. Does anyone have experience with laminate tile and if so can you recommend where or what brand to look at. Also can you give me an idea of pricing..Thanks...
Are you talking about vinyl squares or Laminate flooring that snaps together? It makes a big difference. If it is vinyl squares Home Depot does have a huge selection, but it will look cheap and that stuff does not stick very well for long term in a very wet area. If it is laminate flooring it will look nicer and will hold up to the moisture better. You will need to caulk the perimeter with silicone. (water on top is o.k. water under the floor and its all over very quickly.) Hope this helps
Q: What are the brands of tiles?
Second-rate brand: The United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, the United States, The United States and Tao, the United States and Tao, Shun Hui, sublimation, Hilti, Samite, St. Pottery Square, the United States and the United States, the United States and the United States, Shiwan, special high special, Wales, Williamton, the king, Xinghui, Xinliwan, the new South Yue, Yu Jing, Yashi GAO Fu ceramics, etc.
Q: we are planning on replacing our livingroom carpet, !/2 of it withceramic tile. Is there any do‘s and don‘ts to consider. Thanks.
With all due respect and not knowing at all your DESIGN, certainly I have suugestions. After installing thousands of sq. ft of tile, and various other flooring I ask that you e mail me. The tile installed may be at some similar level to the tile but needs transition molding, and again without knowing the design; is to to be a DECO thing or a simple carpet butted to tile as in half a space? The installation process isn't so difficult even for a DY, but there are things to consider, I offer all the help, through my experience, I can offer in emailing me... even if I'm not BEST. Q: A week and a half a go I put eight 23 1/2‘‘ x 23 1/2 tiles on my sheetrock wall as a headboard and I can sometimes hear it crack! Will it fall?
heck no! Ive seen tiles installed ritght onto sheet rock in wet arias as in bathroom shower! as far as the papper delamanating from the rock? hell no!!! ur good pal! If u hear cracking, Its not the tiles falling off. maybe the rock seperating from the studs, or the stus sressing out. think of it this way, when you go to hang a heany pic or mirror to the wall u usaly attach to the studs...what you could have done is reinforce the rock (add more screws) then did ur work. right now the rock should be attached with 1 1/4 screws at least with a nail pattern of 6 inch on perimiter and 12 inch in field. hope this info helps! I think ur good pal!
Q: I‘m having linoleum put in my kitchen and I‘m want to prep the floor. We already tore the carpet up and we weren‘t sure if we should clean the carpet adhesive off the ceramic tiles, or remove the tiles from the concrete.
You will need to remove the tiles and clean the tile adhesive from the concrete or put down a plywood subfloor. Linoleum will in a very short time show any dimple, pimple or ridge that is under it. As an alternative, wouldn't it be better to rehabilitate and regrout the existing ceramic tiles? Lino seems like quite a come down from ceramic. If you're on a budget and the color of the tiles is wrong or some are cracked, replace the cracked ones with light colored tiles of similar thickness. Clean the tile floor thoroughly and paint it. When dry, apply a pattern by dabbing with a sponge dipped in a much lighter shade, then paint the grout by running a brush along the grout lines using an appropriate color. When dry apply 3 coats of satin finish urethane. I've used this method to rehabilitate ceramic floors twice now. The first time was in my son's house 3 years ago and it still looks acceptable despite the best efforts of my 3 grandchildren Good luck
