- Q: I love my acer but i hate the keyboard. It works fine and nothings broken but its cheap, hard to type with, and i just need to replace it. Can you replace the keyboard of an acer laptop with a better keyboard from a different acer model?
- Most likely not. An alternative is if you have a desk you type at a lot then get a full-size keyboard to use that you like.

- The driver for your keyboard might be missing or need to be updated. If your keyboard came with a software disc, insert it into your computer to reinstall the driver. Otherwise, follow these steps to update your driver. 1.Open Keyboard by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Keyboard. 2. Click the Hardware tab, find the keyboard you're using, and then double-click it. 3.Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then follow the instructions. 4.If you are prompted to restart your computer, do so. 5. If problem still exist,Try plugging your keyboard into another computer. If it still doesn't work, it might be broken. Consider replacing it with a new keyboard, or, if the warranty for the keyboard is still valid, exchanging it for a new one with the manufacturer. - Q: For school next year, we are getting iPads, and I'm planning on getting a wireless bluetooth keyboard for mine. But I was wondering if, with a bunch of people in class trying to use them, if my iPad could pick up the wrong keyboard? I know that you're supposed to press a button on the bluetooth keyboard and scan for wireless devices on your iPad to make it work, but if someone else is doing it at the same time, could the iPad pick up the wrong keyboard? Could this happen, and if so, would it be better to get a wired keyboard? Thanks :)
- It is possible for the iPad to pick up the wrong keyboard, but quite unlikely. You should pair them either when everyone else has done theirs, or before the class starts. Worst case scenario, you get the wrong keyboard connected, and just disconnect it and try again. Also, there are no wired keyboards for the iPad; they are all bluetooth.
- Q: i have this computer that kills your keyboard. i plug everything in right, put a new hard drive into it, and it doesn't start up. there is nothing, then when you plug the keyboard into another computer, keyboard doesn't work. my 1st question is why? why does it kill it? keyboards have no memory, so how can it kill it? i put the same hard drive and keyboard into another computer, and keyboard doesn't work. i switch hard drives and it still doesn't work. how can that happen? my 2nd question is what would make it kill the keyboards? can't be a virus, as they can only be saved to hard drives, right? i switched hard drives and it still doesn't work. so wtf is going on?
- wtf are people talking about? it's obvious that your motherboard is not regulating the voltages correctly. there could also be something metalic which is shorting out the keyboards (which you can return and get a refund for)so check the slot that you put them into. try to use a USB keyboard insted, maybe that might work.

- Q: Any comments on HP Pavilion laptop keyboards? Someone suggested they were too small and inconvenient I have in mind 101-key compatible with full size keyboard with integrated numeric keypad.
- I haven't had any problems, I was using an apple power book before and they are a lot smaller, and actually get stuck more often. mine is about a year and a half old though, Not sure about the future :)
- Q: I came back from one of my classes and some buttons on my keyboard will not work. They will work, however, when adjacent keys are taken outbut again this only works for some keys. I have not dropped my laptop a significant number of times nor have I gotten fluid or other foreign objects between the keys. Oh, it's a Toshiba Satelite C650DAnd yes, I'm using a wireless keyboard to type this. Even though, I have a wireless keyboard, I do not want to bring the keyboard and laptop to my classes.
