- Q: *In advance: I apologize if the question is confusing*Is it possible to use a different keyboard type on an existing keyboard, like installing another program for another keyboard and that over-riding the current, different keyboard, could I do that without disabling the keyboard completely?Or is it more efficient to use a different keyboard that connects by USB instead- do they come with a program for the keyboard? - kinda depends on the keyboard, but is unlikely w/o more info. better off using a bluetooth or usb keyboard if you need extra functionality. it seems to me you're asking about specialty keys like many laptops have specifically for media, email/web, volume, etc. many of those functions are not actually part of the keyboard and are actually a separate panel on the surface of the laptop. yet still, you cannot simply change keyboards. however, you could also be asking about changing the keyboard function like cyrillic or east asian languages or type fonts, which is simple w/ the region settings in control panel. but w/o a better worded question/more info, you can't really expect very good answers here

- A keyboard has a much wider range than a guitar. If you try to play too loud while playing the low notes, you could hurt the speaker in a guitar amp. It depends on the amp and the volume. I have a Peavey Session 400 and our keyboard player used it at a gig when his own amp failed. It worked fine, but it has a 15 speaker rated for 200 watts. If you play at a low enough volume, any amp would be finebut obviously the keyboard has the capability to do damage to any guitar amp if you push it too hard. You'd be safer singing through the guitar amp. There's no way you'll hurt a keyboard amp by plugging a mic into it.we've done it in a pinch at practice.

- I take Chinese and Chinese keyboards are the same as English keyboards, because you cannot fit all the Chinese characters into one keyboard. It is literally over 9000. Chinese does not have an alphabet so you cannot have stickers. Basically it works with pin yin. Pin yin is the letter spelling of how to say a Chinese word. Like 你好 which means hello and to write it you would type, nihao and a list of characters come up and the one you want is written. Hope I helped!!!!

- Keyboards with just 61 keys don't have the highest and lowest notes that are on a piano the main difference is that a real piano has strings and an electric keyboard doesn't. The only problem would be if you need to play notes that are higher than the highest note on your keyboard or lower than the lowest notes. I feel like I am in a tight space when I play a keyboard with only 61 keys. You won't get the same sound as a real piano either but some keyboards have weighted, touch-sensitive keys to create the feel of a real piano.

- My keyboard has multiple sounds to it. It is literally both keyboard and piano in one. It has almost as many keys as a full piano. It also has two GRAND PIANO sounds. It has harps and organs sounds as well as the traditional keyboard sound. I really do not know about the other sounds because am not familiar with all of the attachments and buttons. I am old fashion and do not want to touch them until I learn what they are. I do not like the way traditional keyboards sound, for the music is too muzzled and synthetic like. My church has a very expensive keyboard, and I do not like the sound. It is an excellent recording instrument, but it sounds too unnatural for me.

- Yes, you can. In FL Studio, click the Options menu and make sure Typing keyboard to piano has a check mark next to it (if it doesn't, click it). Open the Channels menu, rollover Add One, and select whatever synth or drum machine you want to use. Now click the record button (to the right of the stop button) and then the play button. You'll hear 4 clicks (the metronome establishing your tempo), and then start playing the keyboard. When you hit stop, your pattern will be displayed. The layout of the computer keyboard is like a piano: q C5, 2 C#5, w D5p E6 z C4, s C#4, x D4? E5 The only hang-up for doing this is that the computer keyboard isn't velocity-sensitive (meaning all the notes will be the same volume, regardless of how hard or soft you hit the keys). Other than that, it's a good, cheap alternative to buying an expensive keyboard. I'm only familiar with this for Fl Studio. I've used other programs, but I don't know if they allow computer keyboard to MIDI recording. They probably do, but it's probably not as

- No problem, as long as the keyboard is USB and not PS2. The only potential gotcha is that there are keys on Apple keyboards that don't exist on keyboards designed for use by Windows. For example, the DVD drive on the Mini doesn't have a tray. To eject the disc you either press the eject button on the keyboard or drag the icon to the trash. Also, there's an Option key and a Command key that don't exist on Windows keyboards. You may be able to do some key mapping but I'm not positive. I bought an Apple keyboard for my Mini, but use a two-button Logitech mouse and a Vizio monitor.
