However, in the same volume, the actual weight of the aluminum alloy is about one-third of the copper. for low end cards, you dont need an additional 6 pin or 8 pin power cable for it. It is only for mid range and high range cards that need additional cable for it. For GT 520, you don't need it.

Q: i cant drill a hole through the firewall because there's too much stuff in the way. so can i run the power cable to the power wire from the radio. the radio power wire is what im talking about. can i do that instead of running it to the battery? thanks
there should be a hole with a rubber disc like piece on the fire wall you just gotta feel around or there might be a hole some where on the firewall under neath of the brake booster or something you can stick a wire threw you can hook in to your radio with the power wire for your amp because the amp will blow your fuse everytime and maybe even fry your radio cause its such a thick gauge wire best of luck!

all you need is a bog standard power lead. The power unsit runs off mains voltages so a 500W supply uses only 2A (ish) (if on a 220V system) and 4A if on 110 (approx)
Q: I am installing a sound system in my car straight from scratch. I have built the subwoofer enclosure but now I have run into a problem. The existing amplifier power cable is too short to reach my amp. Splices are not wise when high current is passed. It's a perfect spot for overheating. However, using a distrobution block as a splice would work fine. It won't look pretty but you can cut up a set of jumper cables as long as they're the same guage. Of course the more strands in stranded wire, the better.
Q: So, yesterday I went to a bargain store and I found a Memorex MiniMove Boombox for iPod for 15$ because it didn't come with a DC cable. It has a battery function but it will only charge my iPod if its plugged in.
