- the floor is my dance studio is a sprung floor with tough laminate over the top.no you can't buy it cheap as you have to get your floor sprung.laminate flooring is similar but as it is not sprung if overused you may give yourself shin splints.the flooring shop locally just buy a scratch resistant one. hope i helped god luck with that victoria xx

- You are correct. Pergo is simply a well known brand of laminate flooring. Just like kleenex is to tissue. Laminate flooring is much better than natural wood for many applications. First it will wear much better. the surface is considerably harder than any natural wood, so if you have dogs they will not scratch or dent the surface. If you have a high traffic area you will never see wear in the surface. You will probably never wear though the surface coating in a residential setting. Also although hardwood may do marginally better with some water, in a pipe rupture situation they will both be destroyed, and the wood is much more work to remove and replace as well as more expense.
- Q:Will water hurt Pargo flooring
- You CAN use pergo flooring in a kitchen with good results.. Keeping it clean is a simple process. Sweep your floors OFTEN to rid the surface of dust/dirt and food particles.. You can also mop just don't saturate the floors with water. A slightly damp mop will take off most spots.. You can also use a liquid spray cleaner like BRUCE for spot cleaning which will protect your floor and make it shiny. I personally, don't like wood flooring in a kitchen especially if you have wood all over the house it seems to make roooms appear smaller and more closed in.. However, with the right amount of wood in a home it can be a nice and easy to care for addition to a home..... I would do a ceramic tile or something more durable and easy to care for instead of wood....
