Q:voltage regulater wires get hot when bike runs 86 yamaha v max. why do they do this?: If the wire connectors at the regulator are corroded or not making a good connection, that can cause the wires to get hot. On my Kaw, I ended up having to remove the connectors and solder the ends together to keep them from getting hot enough to melt the plastic surrounding the connectors.

Q:pendant wiring hookup. issue: light is always on house wires: red, white, black, ground pendant wires: green, white, black (and a ground wire to the frame) I did connect red to green, white to white, black to black, ground to ground is connecting the red to green the problem causing the light to be always on? do I just disconnect the red to green to fix?: First of all you need to determine where the switch that controls the box on the ceiling is. It sounds to me as though three conductor wire was used in the event that a ceiling fan might be installed at some future date. Turn off the breaker to that circuit first. Make sure it is off with a circuit tester. Remove the plate from the switch location and unscrew and pull out the switch. There will be a pair of wires ( white black and bare ground ) coming in to the box. This is where power is coming from. There will also be a trio of wires ( black, red and white plus bare ground. Which ever wire from the trio is attached to the switch will determine which hot wire to connect to in the ceiling box. You will attach that to the black wire from the fixture, the white to white and the green to bare ground. If there are two switches in the same box on the wall, choose the one closest to the door, determine wire color, cap the other color wire in the ceiling box with a wire nut and some electrical tape around it. Push it up in to the box first before any of the other wires. Then make the other connections, attach the pendant base to the ceiling box and you're done.

Q:i have 4 wires going to a ac unit #10 wires 2 wires for each cir. and i need to know how many amps can I run with 2 #10 copper for one side of the breaker: 10 wire is rated for a maximum of 30 amps. This size wire can not be run in parallel to carry more current. I suggest that you have a local qualified professional electrician do the work since you seem unsure about what you are asking.

F=I1*B*dl where B=I2*(mu0)/(2*pi*d) So the force between those two wires is given by this equation F=I1*I2*(mu0)*dl/(2*pi*d) mu0=4*pi*10power7 d the distance between them In this case I1=I2 dl which shows the lenght of the wire in the magnetic field equals 1 because you do not care about it's lenght from here on it is rather simple I hope

Q:I bought a new ceiling light and wired it myself. But I cheated by just copying the wiring from the old bracket into the new one. I want to do the other ceiling lights in my home. Supplied with the lights I am using is a 3 - way bracket (sori if terminology is wrong). Anyway the old bracket I copied was 4 way. My lights are wired from the mains supply with 3 live wires, 3 neutrals, and 3 positives. The light unit only has one live/neutral/positive wire. What do I do with the extra mains supply wires? I hope I have made myself clear as I even I am confused. Many thanks.: Sounds like you have extra wires that are feeding other outlets or lights.

Q:Ok, I am having trouble installing a new car radio in my 97' Honda Civic Lx. It's just a basic pioneer cd player.. I matched all the colored wires up and still nothing. My brother had told me something about + - for example do i hook the green stripped wire with a flat green wire? Vice versa.. Help please..
