3.Characteristic

1. The rated voltage of the wires should equal to or higher then the rated voltage of the system when wires are used at AC system. If the wires are used at DC system, the rated voltage of system should lower then 1.5 times as high as rated voltage of cable and wires. The working voltage of the system could be 1.1 times as high as the rated voltage of the cable.

2. The long term working temperature should lower then 70oC. The working temperature of BV-90 should lower then 90oC. And the laying temperature should higher then 0oC.

3. The curve diameter of the wire should longer than 8 times of the diameter of the outer diameter of cable and wires if their outer diameter is 25 mm or above. If the diameter of cable and wires is above 25 mm, the curve diameter should be at least 12 times of the outer diameter of the cable and wires.

Q: Can I run a ground wire from and electrical motor to a bolt that is screwed into wood? Will this work? I have a hot tub and replaced the motor, the new motor has the thick copper ground wire mounted on the back so the wire I have is too short now to reach to where it was grounded before. I ran the wire from the motor to a bolt that is screwed into the wood frame of the hot tub. The old ground went from the motor to the metal brain box witch is also attached to wood so I figured my alternative fix is OK?
You should run were that is terminated at the green grounding lug in the service panel. Also connect it to 2 driven ground rods at least 6 feet apart. You can get these rods at almost any electrical supply house
Q: Do these wires provide warmth for the birds?
I think because their legs have a some charge which is opposing to the charge in the wire so there is some kind of attraction between them. And also they can look at prey as wires are located at great hight , birds can have a clear vision and can cover a large area.It can be either to take rest or to attend their natures call!
Q: (No I didn't do it.) I have a used vacuum and it has some damage to it's electrical cord by someone running over it several times. Some of the electrical wires are exposed but there is no damage to the wires, so it seems. What do you recommend other than replacing the vacuum? Thanks
Even if its showing copper it will be perfectly ok to use insolation tape. Wrap each wire carefully so that no copper is touching each other and then wrap the tape around the both of them, Make sure you use quite a bit for extra insulation. I have done this a 100 times or more.
Q: I attatched a photo of a switch that I have no idea which wires go where. If someone would please help me tell me how I would appreciate it.
I would think that the wires go just exactly where they are attached to. Without additional information about what this switch is FOR, there is no way to tell anything more.
Q: HelloRecently I installed 100W Bulbs in my home and noticed that the light fixtures became extremely hot and within 10 minutes they had started melting the insulation. So i looked at the wire and found that it was 18 Gauge and found that through all fixtures of the home some of them with at least 20 feet of wiring is this up to code? I also noticed that many sockets would not allow a laptop to charge or even a cell phone what could be the cause of this? I'm in ontario canada.
I believe that Ontario codes requires that NMD90 14 gauge wire be used.
Q: Hi, I am doing a sweep on my home and checking everything from structure to electrical, attic, etc.I found that I have maybe old knoband tube wiring.the home does have some upgraded romex outletsexisting. The funny looking wiring has what look like a white porcelain loooking gadjet that is round and has a nail sticking thru it and a piece of wire going into. The top knob just unscrews and acts as some sort of clamp, don't really know.Anyways,a wire has corroded(just my luck) and broke in to when I barely touch it and now some of my lights are not working. When the wires are touched back together the lights affected turn back on.Can I just retwist it together since there is a little slack and put a wire cap on it,or can I just pull out that line from whence it broke and add 14/2 romex or just a pigtail at the broke section? Some wiring in my home may be aluminum but copper color has that cloth around it and some has worn all the way off which I am thinking to wrap in electrical tape and not leave exposed? Thanks
I would get a qualified electrical engineer to take a look because you can't see areas that are not exposed, and it sounds to me that your house might need rewiring for your own safety and also to meet regulations.
Q: How many square wires are used for home wires? It is best to have a detailed answer
The problem is two questions . first explain why the wire cut inside why there are many things like gray, because the insulated wire core is PVC insulation, in the course of aging, the inside of the agent decomposition, or inside the filling In the use of a long time after the brittle aging will become dust, that is, the inside of the wire is actually due to the aging of the internal material. . the copper wire is very brittle, the first copper rod in the production of copper is very brittle when the strength is high, but the toughness is poor, the need for annealing to make copper wire becomes toughness becomes low, easy to pull and mass production, if the landlord Think this copper wire is very easy to break, you may not be in line with the national standard of the wire or the production process is not in place for annealing, for reference only.
Q: I had a small infestation of mice in my garage a few years back. I noticed a hole under the breaker box that looks like it was from the mice. Is it likely that they chewed on the wiring or was this just an entry point? How would I know without tearing out the drywall or pulling all new wiring?
Do Mice Eat Electrical Wires
Q: I have a lot of equipment in my local and I'm suffering about big cargo in electric wire for your knowledge voltage 220 Ventensity 30 Awire Demetre 2.5 mmwhat should I do for avoid the damaging of disgenctor or burning of wire
The wires too small for 30A! You need to upgrade the wire size or lower the amperage! The set-up you now have is just begging for a fire! Be Careful! ;-)
