Q:I plugged in my new Pioneer DEH-P6500it worked for a little bit until i moved it around a littlethe speakers started to go out but the subs still sounded finei messed around with it and found the wire responsible for it allits a red wireit says AAC or somethingif i messed with the copper twist the speakers would come in and outi stripped the wire a little and put it back together but now the head unit wont even turn onand im also left with like 2 inches of red wireis my only option to get a new pioneer wire harness?what is the problem?the red wire i think supplies the power to the whole head unit because when its not connected, the whole thing turns onbut only the speakers go on and off when i messed with itbut it wont turn on anymore: The red wire is the ignition wire. There are two wires that supply power to your head unit. One is the yellow wire which is a constant source of power. This keeps all your settings on the radio and the clock. The red wire is used to switch on your head unit. When you turn on your car the wire gets power and turns your head unit on. First, like said before, make sure the wire is getting power by checking fuses. There should be one in the head unit and one in your car's fuse panel. If that is not it then you will want to see if the wire is split somewhere. An easy way to check if the wire is getting power is if you have a DMM (digital multimeter). Then just check if there is voltage in the wire. Your car must be on to check this though. Good Luck!!! Edit: DMMs are cheap, you can get one for around $15. They have even cheaper ones if you get it at Harbor Freight.

Q:does it matter what gauge speaker wire to use when hooking up a powered subwoofer?: A Powered subwoofer does not use speaker wire - it usually uses a RCA cable. EDIT: Ok - some older subwoofers only have speaker inputs and speaker outputs. You run speaker wire from the Left/Right speaker outputs to the sub, it strips off the sounds it wants to produce, and it passes the other sounds onto the other speakers. I suggest some good oxygen free 12 ga wire. There is a roll off effect with higher frequency sounds and long runs of speaker wire. It usually does not matter for a Home Theater system, but you can hear it with a high-end music system. Thicker wire reduces the effect. Since with a sub you would be running wires to the sub, then back to the L/R speakers, you could be using 15-30 ft of wire. Get a spool of good 12 ga from a speaker building site or get some of the Carol 12 speaker wire from Home Depot.

The single coil will be very similar. You'll note that the humbucker has 4 wires, but two of them are soldered together. You can ignore them and wire your single coil like the other 2 wires. Bare wire goes to ground. White wire goes to the outside lug of the volume pot. Center lug of volume pot goes to output jack.....the part that connects to the tip of the plug. Opposite lug of volume pot goes to ground Outside ring of input jack goes to ground.

Thanks!: Normal wiring with two connections on thermostat, on from timer and two on element would be a single wire from one of the timer wires to one connection on thermostat, one wire from other connection on thermostat to heater connection, then one wire from other heater connection back to remaining connection on timer. This is if the thermostat is high voltage and not a low voltage signal to a controller perhaps on the timer.

Any Help would be great!: The positive wire should be red and the ground black. You should tap into a wire that is ignition hot. Meaning it only has power when the ignition is on so it won't run down the battery. The easiest one to use would be the accessory port on the fuse panel. The ground needs to go to any good metal part. Find a screw that is in a large metal part, like the dash support, and wire it under the screw.
